i no they get extremly hot and stuff but in a cool more open area and if i kept it further back would it not be possible to grow them

Well..... Maybe he is going to grows a 4" tall tree and cover it in BBQ sauce. Then switch to the heat lamp to create Southwest x Purple Haze BBQ strain.
