hey guys really interested to hear your views on this,a m8 just came round to check on my ladies and told me that a couple of hours before harvesting pour boiling water on the roots of the plant and all THC in the main stem will shoot into the buds. how true is this?:wtf:

THC is not present ( in any signifigant quantity) in the vascular tissue.
It's false.

My view is Its A Weed.. You can throw seeds to the wind and some will grow to be thriving stalks without any input for us.. So I tend to keep is simple.. More plants are killed by growers getting to complicated than just pouring some water in when the leaves look a bit droopy .. Indoors is a different matter as you hold all the cards ..but outdoors if you stick to the basics , Lots of Sun, regular Water and if needed some light nutes. and all will be right with the world.. Get to know your plants .. sit with them in the evening and talk to em, stare at em, smell em and after a while they will tell you every thing they need if you know them well.. When time to harvest they will let you know ..
Its true that the THC is produced in the root stock and migrates to the buds ( Yes it is TRUE) You can take the roots of a pot plant and graft Hops tops to the roots and your HOPS will have the same THC content as the Root plant.. Done it and you can grow em in your front yard across from the police station... But if you harvest it and they bust you it will test as marijuana .. it just don't look like it , or taste like it, or smell like it..but will still kick ya butt ... But it take a long time for the THC to build up in the buds and the production in the roots is very small. So even if you forced flow to buds its not enough THC to make a difference by the time you harvest .. It takes time for the diluted THC to migrate to the bud where the water evaporates and leaves behind the THC which we see as sticky resin ... You do not get pure resin rising to the bud.. but a very dilute water with sugars and THC and over time it concentrates in the buds .. thats why the longer you grow (as in Sensi) the higher the THC levels ...

no thats not true
buds n leafs mostly
How bout being a bit more specific as to whats not true..
I have spliced hops many many times, Hops has 0 THC but is a cuz of pot and they graft just peachy.
If the production of THC was derived from stem, leaf, bud you would get a hops with little or no THC but the THC content of graft hops/pot is very close to the levels of the root stock plant. If you go the other way around and graft Hops root stock to pot tops you get a nice looking pot plant that has almost no THC.
I have also used colcasine (sp) (extract of the winter crocus bulbs) to induce genetic mutation, if used on branch you get growth mutation but has very little effect on resin content, use on the seeds and the resin content can be much higher.
If you do a bit of research I think you will find everything I said was correct and if you have some insight I don't would love to know but please explain your specifics so they can be examined logically , Because if I'm incorrect I want to know..and if You are, I want you to understand why also...

BlackBerry I don't have the time to deal with you.
Your bans BOTH occurred BEFORE I was a moderator. I had nothing to do with them. One was done simply through the ban system so there's no link to share; the other is listed as 'personal attack- insult another member'.
By the way, it's SNIDE, not 'synied'.... Don't start a flame war with me. I'm not the one. My problem with you is that you are rude. And now I'm in a position to deal with that.
HAve a good one,

If you would have taken the time to read some of the replies you would have known the answer. I even posted a link to the same question I asked in a thread a while back. Obviously you didn't even read it. Last time I try and answer a question for you.
