Actually, if you live on campus or school provided housing, chances are you give up most of those rights. At most schools they can enter your place without warning or reason and do whatever they want. If you keep things on campus they need to be as small and minimal as possible. A bong isn't the minimalist approach.

If you're going to college, the smartest thing to do is just smoke at parties. Also, get a lock for your desk or get a small safe. I got busted freshman year with paraphernalia, and didn't get kicked out of the dorms, but if I didn't have a lock on my desk where I kept a ton of green, money, scale, pills, and baggies. That 5 dollar lock kept me in college and out of jail, :-)

Bring it to school, just be careful and you will be fine. When I lived in the dorms, I just got a bong bag for mine from the head shop and put that in my dresser and put some towels and stuff over it. Don't let anyone know that you've got any paraphernalia or pot in the room though, you don't want the word to spread about that. If you choose to smoke in your room, be smart about it, and take precautions. Between my roommate and I, pot was smoked in our room several times a day, every day and we never once got busted. There were people in the same hall, living only a few doors down who got caught smoking, and they only smoked in the room once or twice a week. What we always did was use a doob-tube, have the window open with the fan blowing outward, and we would always blow the smoke through the doob-tube and into the fan, in which the smoke would go outwards. My room was on the fifth floor, so someone smelling it from outside was not an issue. We would always put a towel at the bottom of the door too. Another thing we used was this, ! Orange chronic air freshener spray orange chronic to remove smoking odoursair freshener from Orange Chronic (http://www.everyonedoesit.co.uk/online_headshop/Orange_Chronic__Air_Freshener.cfm?iProductID=603) We used this spray before and after we smoked, and nobody could ever tell we smoked in our room. You might be able to fine it at a head shop near you, my roommate just brought a case of it when he moved into the dorms. You should be fine if you take precautions and don't go around telling people you smoke/have stuff in your dorm room. I have known several people who have gotten caught, and it was because of carelessness and the people who got caught seemed to be the people who would rant in chemistry class about how good the roor in their dorm room hits. Be smart, never get lazy when taking precautions, and keep the noise down in your room. You don't want to have to answer the door from an R.A. telling you to turn your music down, only for he/she to find out you were smoking pot in the room and call the cops. I know two people who had that exact thing happen to them.

yeah just be smart, and if u are gonna take the risk do as coledog said, invest in a safe, that 40-50 dollar safe will easily fit ur bong all other smoking devices and ur weed, and they do not have the right to search it without a warrant assuming it is locked, my friends room was raided when they smelt smoke but he had already locked it up and they searched but couldnt find nething so they ended their pursuit and said it must be coming from another dorm...be smart stay alert ull be fine :)

A safe saved some people i know when there room got busted our school opened the safe with out a warrant or any thing and found like a few pounds and money but could not do shit. Just be safe and hope your room mate is a stoner. What school you going to? My college is a super strict Christan college we cant even have alcohol in the dorms if your over 21.

It's funny you say that. My school is a super liberal non-religious school. They havea a bunch of rules about drugs and alcohol, yet we're still notorious for being a big time party/drug school, lol:rastasmoke:

i just finished my freshman year in the dorms last spring. First semester we were too scared to smoke in our dorm room (there were 3 of us, 2 smoked regularly). Second semester it was no holds barred smoke athon. we smoked at least 5 times a day a piece. we just made made an exhaust fan, burnt incense, used a doob tube and blew the smoke towards the fan. but we didnt go as far as ever even smoking a joint. it was strait chillums and small pipes. honestly, leave the bong at home, get a little glass pipe or something and use that. put a coin on top after you smoke to keep excess smoke from escaping. also get yourself a dugout for smoking at parties discreetly. I go to a school with a bunch of rednecks so i one it and go back inside and no one ever says a word. be careful though and do keep your shit locked up. i kept my shit in a glass jar, in a canvas sack, in a locked foot locker under a table.

Check to see if your roommate/suitemates are cool w/it or not. At our dorm-we had "fire & life inspections", cept our RAs didn't care. My roommate & suitemates all smoked and i started off of a freebie hit from them.

My recommendation is to get a concealed piece. I've got one of those hi-lighter one hitters. Perfect for the dorm.
