Cleaning one-hitters while saving resin

I was having a discussion about my purchase of a glass-one hitter, and, while I love this thing, I have to say (and, maybe it is this chronic I just got ahold of), this thing ha a ton of resin on it. I begin back at school tomorrow (tuesday), and I must have, over the last two weeks, smoked 1/2 oz. out of this thing alone.

My problem is this: the stem is so narrow, I can't really get anything inside of it that allows me to collect the resin. I tried a wooden bamboo skewer, but it didn't do so well. A paperclip uncoiled did hardly nothing. I can't run a pipe cleaner through it because I want to keep the resin.

Suggestions appreciated.

p.s, if you are ever in Saint Louis (as I was when I got this good stuff) don't underestimate the bud. I got 5 oz. of really strong mids for $500 even. Best deal of my life. My cousin charges me something like 150/oz. Fuck it, I may transfer to Washington University in Saint Louis (tied with dartmouth for 9th best university in country) and major in being stoned off my ass (while still maintaining an equal number of A's and B's for a 3.5)

i pay $350-$400 bucks for a ounce of lovley chronic, and shwag isnt an option...or mid grade for that matter, people dont seem to fuck with anything but the crip around here....im waiting for this dude to call me back so i can grab a 65 dollar eighth of "trainwreck"....fuckin kill me.

whoa sorry completley off topic...

you could boil it and pour the water thru a coffee filter or somthing, then dry it out.

you could soak it in alcohol, then let the alcohol evaporate and smoke the resin.

you could try sticking a real small nug in there and pushing it thru with the bamboo stick. usually works well.

Holy Shit, Batman!

I never thought about sticking a small nug in there. Works great. Problem is, i've had to quit completely because i'm a senior now, and these 400-level classes are not to be trifled with. I mean, if you're a sophmore or a junior, you can get by with being high and keep a good average, but these are just brutal.

I put a pipe screen in my 1 hitter and push it through with a paper clip. I then hotknife the pipe screen. Collects all the resin and is just great.
