You can visit his grave in new Sparta. he truly was a bad ass in real life. The real story is just as impressive. They killed 20,000 Persians including two of ramses own brothers in 48 hours. King Leonidas was on the front lines with his men, like a true spartan warrior!!!

Nope it was actually 300 spartans, and about 4500 aristicadians. Together they killed the 20000 in two days. And I agree with you, spartans were the best warriors to ever walk regarding organized fighting. Although if it was one on one, i would go with the samurai.

Did you say that ninjas are better than samurai... Not a chance in hell. And even if the ninja did defeat the samurai, MEGATRON WOULD CRUSH THE NINJA. hahahaha. j/j

I hated 300, and refuse to watch another Michael Bay movie, so I guess I'm the minority here, lol.

Okay, so this is my first post, so go easy on me. I am a girl.!! Oh My God. Yes. I loved the movie. Lots of action, violence, and convection. (Forgive me for my spelling.) But most of all, what really intrigued me was the fact that it was based loosely on truthful events. People really overcame fear and pain and doubt to believe fully in their leader as to give there lives. And it is so much bigger than that. Anyone can give their lives for their beliefs. But can anyone give their lives so quietly? They said that spartans wore red to confuse there opponents, so they didn't know if they were bleeding, or not. And opposite to that time periods thoughts, they did not yell in combat, but kept completely silent. How many people today can claim that kind of discipline? I do not mean this to detrogetory todays warriors. Only to point out the fact that these were awesome men in the past.
