I was wondering , can your surroundings, the frame of mind your in your responsibilities at the time and more affect the high you have or is it all in the strain of weed you have purchased?:hippy:

Ya I never do it if I'm hot or have a headache or my dads pissed at me or something cuz itll ruin your whole experience. Only do it when you're in a pretty good mood and it'll make it better lol.

i am of the personal opinon that drugs what ever kind just enhance your mood, they do alter them but only to the side you begin with. i see moods like bar, that shifts on a vetical scale, if you are always trying to get to the top buy being high then ultimately it falls short and when it wears off you sink lower than you started. by trying to reach the top constatnyl you just keep on lowering yourself.

sometimes if im pissed a joint helps, but often it just helps me go over things in my mind and try and look for solutions. the high doesnt really work, i just reduce pinpont mind status to s wider view, if you get me.

however if its been a good day, im happy, maybe been to the gym had a good day at work, eaten well or am just chillin wiht my favorite people then i get actually 'high' this is my favortie.

it is psychological fact that surroundings can trigger certain emotions. this si why tests are in different places to the learning, in that being inthe same place to take an exam that you learnt in is detrimental as a certain amount of triggering happens.

so when smoking in the same place relentlessly the high will dissappear because the brain no longer process's the new information it just draws conclusions from its previous knowledge and assumes it will be the same. you may have noticed this when watching a dvd or program again and again, you know its funny but you don't laugh anymore.

the same happens with parania and anxiety, if you remain in the same place and get high the same feelings will return, the more you do it, the more these feelings become anchored in. as a result the brain may begin to short cut surroundings and just look for the physical features, ie thc in the brain to trigger anxiety and paranioa.

there are many ways to cope with this, and being able to talk your ownself down is one that takes a while but is a great skill. it is said to break any psychological cycle, it takes 30 days, give or take the severity and the persons own physical and mental health. so if you are getting paranoid or anxious, take a break from toking. chill out, take up something new, take a walk get some exercise. just dont sit there making things worse :)

i hope this has helped, i dont know wether it was a general quesion or from a personal place, either way. hit me up if you have any problems or can relate to this. cus i know from first hand experience the hell you can create for yourself

peace and progress

Personally from weed I've never found myself truly out of control. Sure I feel paranoid plenty of times, and sometimes thats good to avoid getting burnt up, but I always have the sense to tell myself "hey you just smoked weed, your being paranoid, calm the fuck down"
One of the reasons why I fucking hate when people go crazy and can't control themselves "Ahhhhhh! I'm dying, HOSPITAL NOW!!"
I really think anyone can avoid letting paranoia take control but lots of people are just weak willed and give in "oo shit its the weed, I cant control it. AH!! so scary" Just get a grip and, its YOUR own brain, take control.

Personally i think it can be controlled, it is thoughts in your mind.

For me, I can control it pretty much entirely. Sometimes, I try to get myself paranoid to feel the rush. And I mean, EXTREMELY PARANOID, because if I'm paraniod to the point of fear when I'm fucking blown, and I put my head in my hands and lean forward while I'm sitting down, it's like a rush in my brain that feels like I'm on a rollercoaster and I'm doing a bunch of backflips. Pretty badass, but it only happens when I'm scared and blown. That's about it for me, other than everything being really funny, and me being able to understand babyspeak (Weird, I know...)

but yeah. I can control it, so I suppose others can to.

For me paranoia sets in when I'm in a sketchy place, have marijuana on me, and really high. If I'm just really high and anywhere I'm never worried because there isn't really a damn thing the pigs can do to you. :rastasmoke:

I usually smoke everything stress, chronic, and kush. Ive been smoking for awhile now almost 5 years and ill usually get paranoid off a kush strain. When I smoke chronic I get chill more like a physical high for me. I usually like the mind highs better than the physical. Just as snowblind said weed alters your mood no matter what. If you feel shitty or already in a really debatable decision about things then its gonna intensify. When I smoke with my friend he gets really paranoid and I have to ensure him that everything is ok.

For me, frame of mind plays a huge role. If I have a lot of serious stuff weighing on my mind, then I can get paranoid. A better term is actually awfulizing, I start thinking worst case scenario for what I'm thinking about. I can reacognize it though and control it.

When ever i get paranoid or have little panic episodes, its usually when im just sitting on my ass doing nothing. So to get my mind off it, i either get up and find something to do (or just the walking around helps) or turn up the TV

this sounds awful but is actually pretty cool, IF you are an experienced enough smoker to 'know' that youre high and that nothing is really wrong. its fun to go into dark places or go walk around outside at night kinda blazed. chances are youll be fine but its kind of intense... you are just so aware of every noise and every change around you, its nutty.

yeah i believe weed takes whatever emotion your feeling and makes it much more intense. this can be a bad thing because if your in a bad mood and you smoke, your just going to concentrate even harder on whats making you mad. if i have a lot of things on my mind i can get pretty paranoid but i can control it because i know its just the weed doing what it does.

Paranoia is a tough one. Back in my old place where I first experienced it I was so paranoid my neighbors would smell it or something, so I just starting taking security seriously, using towls to block the door, scent spray and incense, ect. It was also helpful having friends reassuring you that you're just really high sometimes.
