Tell them you have panic disorder (you get nervous a lot). That's what drama did on Entourage.

You could also claim back pain or insomnia. You want to make it something that can't be proven by medical records. Or maybe you're reason actually is legitimate enough to get medical.

unless you really do need cannabis for medication purposes, just leave the MMJ cards for the actual patients. If everyone starts getting those cards and they dont need it, its going to make medical patients look bad and it will make the whole goal of making medical marijuana legal, a lot worse. Plus i bet youll buy medical one time, realize you could get better shit on the streets for less, and never go back to it.

Well first of all you gotta actually have a condition. If not, then too bad!
Don't fuck it up for people who actually need it.

Tree Burner, jaGerBom, Thank you! In California, all you need to do is (1) Have a legit medical problem with medical records (2) Have the $200. (3) Find a MMJ friendly doctor. (NORML has a list) And you'll be approved!

And Kushed, have your eyes been checked for glaucoma lately? WHEN YOU WERE STRAIGHT??? Going in blazed could mask a potentially serious (and mmj approvable) condition! Go see your optometrist soon and sober! You can go blind from glaucoma.

thatd be very interesting to go through your life having glaucoma and not even realizing it because you were medicating yourself the whole time.

Anyways yeah leave it for real med patients. Too many fuckers around here don't really have any conditions, they just want to get high(which there is nothing wrong with) but they ruin it for med users.

Prob not... But check that eye out, and see if you have any other conditons that qualify for MMJ... You do need a medical rec from a Doc that proves your conditon, so I wouldn't BS about that & honestly you shouldn't have to with so many differant qualifying conditon...

me personally, i live in chicago. no mmj here. but a friend of mine has been living in cali for a year now and has a mmj card. he has bought medical and he has bought off the street. he says he can find much better shit on the streets for a way more reasonable price. thats why i said that.

That was a good episode of entourage. It's funny because I'm sure there are doctors like that and they get busted all the time.

Anyhow, find a pot friendly doc if you're desperate for a card. In my personal opinion I don't think you should get a card if you don't have any condition. Some people really need it medicinally. If the system gets too corrupt then it will fail. I really hope that it will be legalized soon (all those pharm companies will go down in flames). If I lived in a medical marijuana state I would probally try and get some for insomnia, anxiety (I can't stand xanax), and I started noticing back pains when I was around 16 (I'm destined to have a crappy spine like my father). I've been self-medicating for years and I haven't had troubles going to sleep, back pain is only bad when I stand for too long, and... well I still have a bit of anxiety but it definately helps a lot. I'm very stoned right now so I hope that makes sense.

I don't know what links you read but you still don't have a clue as to how medical marijuana works in california. Not trying to be a prick, but please, if somebody is providing information please do your best to read through it as much as possible...or use google since that always is a good last resort option (sometimes better than asking on a forum lol).

You are probably just like me and rather than reading through a list of links you just want the cliffnote version of your answer, so here it is:

Under California Prop 215 (http://www.canorml.org/prop/patientsguide.htm#prop) Section A it states:
To ensure that seriously ill Californians have the right to obtain and use marijuana for medical purposes where the medical use is deemed appropriate and has been recommended by a physician who has determined that the person's health would benefit from the use of marijuana in the treatment of cancer, anorexia, AIDS, chronic pain, spasticity, glaucoma, arthritis, migraine, or any other illness for which marijuana provides relief

That "any other illness" part covers your vision problems.

I also want to respond to what others are saying about who should and shouldn't go legal, and I'm sure many will disagree with me but I am a legal recipient of medical marijuana, (yes I have a serious condition, I have Crohn's disease), but I personally don't see it as a problem if people are abusing the system. It took years and years of people breaking the law to realize marijuana had medical benefits so I think it is hypocritical to criticize somebody for breaking a new law to simply use this wonderful drug. I would also much rather people buy their bud from a safe and clean establishment rather than off some gangster thug on the streets. Who would you rather see making money, marijuana reformists or gangsters? I choose the marijuana reformists working at these co-ops!

That is why I would love to live in Cali. I have a shit ton of shit marijuana would be good to me for. I go days without sleeping and because of that I get nausous. When I smoke, however, I can go to sleep within an hour and I feel fine in the morning. I sure hope IL passes that medical marijuana bill.
