Torch lighter good for bud?

I have, I guess, a rave torch lighter that I never thought of using for weed. I always thought it would burn the weed way to fast, since it doesn't have a flame, the flame can't get "pulled" into the bowl, and it's really big and flashy. IDK I just never thought about it, does anyone have any tips on how to use it if I should/could? I go through BIC's like crazy because I'm a pyro and like to flick them just to see the flame. So I guess I'm asking is if anyone else uses a torch for pipes/bongs/waterfalls (I know it's a type of bong :P ) and how. My refillable torch lighter is cheaper to maintain and I could use the money I save for "other stuff".

no, burns it up to fast.... also the heat is so intense, alot of the goodies in the bud are incenenirated immediately, by the time the smoke passes through the hole in the bottom of the bowl alot has been wasted by the intense flame... doesn't matter how small your pipe is or how fast you hit it....

Yeah, but it's sooo obvious if you have a BIC with you, oh well. If it makes any difference, I don't think it is a "real" torch lighters. Most I see are gas fueled but mines butane.

there are only two types of fuel that fuel lighters... butane and npatha (which is for zippos)

Dude... dont do it. Cant you hear the weed screaming for mercy as you torch the living fuck out of it? A regular bic flame destroys about 50% of the THC on contact. Imagine how much more the torch will destroy?

All in all I wouldn't use a torch regardless to spark some green, just use a bic.

Get a clipper - pick your favourite color and keep the same one for life... just refill it with a can of butane and change the flints every so often... they are hands down the best lighters.

A Bic-type lighter is the best. If you want to use your torch lighter, hold it away so that the visible flame does not touch the weed. You want to use the coolest part of the flame that will still light the weed, same as lighting a cigar.

bic are the best, HOWEVER using a torc lighter isnt that bad if u hold the flame far enough away to heat the weed, it doesnt work well for me cuz like 3 rips in of some dank shit i forget its a torch lighter and i obliterate the weed
