Short version on bottom,

Maybe this question is more toward people who have had dry sockets, but anyway I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed 3 days ago at 8:30am. I'm not 100% sure but I think all 4 were compacted if that matters. Now Monday at around 2:30pm I think its ok to smoke cuz I was only in pain for the first day, besides pain from the swelling the next 2 days. All times are pacific standard time.

I smoked a bowl from my bong and nothing hurt. But after the second bowl I felt something weird, hard to explain but it was the blood clot and it came loose (the bottom I think) and I started bleeding. I immediately used the rinse I was prescribed and then bit down real hard on gauze for the next hour and a half laying down, after that it was done bleeding. The whole time I was worrying about getting a dry socket.

For people who have had dry sockets do you know right away if you got one? Is the pain intense right away or does it take a day or two? I read that when you get dry sockets itâ??s because you can't bleed anymore which leaves the bone exposed and it slowly dies, so would I have even known if I got a dry socket on the left side? How long does it take for the pain of a dry socket to set in? The whole time I was worrying about the right side because it was bleeding until I read dry sockets occur cuz you canâ??t bleed anymore to form a clot. I would really appreciate any responses.

Short version: I got my wisdom teeth pulled 3 days ago smoked 2 bowls out of my bong which loosened the blood clot on my right side (bottom I think). If you have a dry socket do you feel intense pain right away? It doesnâ??t really feel like the pain is where the wisdom tooth was but a tooth or 2 down from that. Does it sound like I could have formed a dry socket? All times are pacific standard time. main question, IS THE INTENSE PAIN RIGHT AWAY?

nah man I didn't but my main question is if you do get a dry socket will it happen immediately after you take the hit? I haven't found this answer anywhere.

I had dry socket before, but I didn't know for sure what it was until the dentist told me. The pain is not really intense ( at least mine wasn't) but where the hole in my mouth should have been healed, a week later, it still hurt. The sensation is maybe a slight pulling feeling in the socket when I talked and stuff. It took maybe 3 weeks to heal completely. I did not know right away. Hell.... I was stoned. I was freakin clueless!
