I had to leave for two days and needless to say my ph went crazy low and the temps were crazy hot. I came back and changed water and nutes. Roots are dark colored and I also notice at the main stem at the top of the grow rocks it looks like it rotting.
What can I do to prevent further rotting????
Thank you in advance.

Lower res temperature.
Increase dissolved O2.
Use a 'zyme product ( Hygrozyme, Sensizyme, Cannazyme etc.) to digest already dead root tissue, as it will act as a bacterial resivoir.

For now my only option for cooling the res temp is to drop ice cubes in there twice a day at 32oz worth of water. Good thing the ice is RO fresh. When you say increase dissolved O2, what is that? I will try to get some Hygrozyme asap. Thank you.

An aquarium bubbler/fishtank pump will help your res by adding dissolved atmospheric gases.
