View Full Version : Are YOU being rude too?

I'm writing this post cuz I just realized how rude I've been by staying connected to this site when I'm not even using it. I imagine I'm not the only one, and by disconnecting when I'm done I'm allowing someone else to reap the benefits of this great site.
So here's my apology for the few people who read a "busy server" message, due to MY ignorance!

Apology accepted.

Although I doubt being logged in has very much impact on the server. I could be wrong.

It has every impact on it actually. The point Chronisseur is making is that if the server reaches full capacity, one person away but still logged in means one more person can't log in to actually post.

So Chronisseur, I forgive you:stoned:.

Hahaha, just kidding there's nothing to fogive, you're just being very considerate noticing this little fact. Kuto's to you:joint1:

Thanks guys! I figured I'd bring it up because I'm sure the majority of the people in this community are THAT considerate, just maybe not THAT aware!:stoned:

i think you log out when you come off this site but when you come back on to the site your cookies or something remembers your password and automatically logs you back in.

something like that:thumbsup:

So if I close my window is that the same as logging out? I close my window all the time but when I open it again I am still logged in. hmmmm.... or does it keep me logged in even when my window is closed?

Don't you only hurt the server when you pull info off the site? Like if you just load a page and leave it there it won't hurt the server after you load it because you already got the info?

I dont know Jack Herer OR Jack Shit but it seems to me that the site autologs in and out, and uses up the server even while idle. How else does/could my computer pull up other peoples new posts?

To clear this up, closing the window or navigating to another site logs you out, you don't have to do it manually.

I don't think being logged in has any effects. As far as I know there's not a log in capacity? I could be wrong. But the only way I could think of the server becomming so busy is when a mass of people keep making requests from the forum, such as posting, searching, and looking through threads.

:stoned:

It doesn't, for instance, if you went to the main lounge you would see all the posts that were up at that moment, but then you would have to refresh the page to see all the new threads again.

I dont know much about the inernets or even computers. When I leave this site I'll make sure to press the logout button. I appologize if my previous ignorance resulted in cannabis.com users not being able 2 access this site. previously in this thread, "bluntblaze" mentioned something about his computer setting cookies for him. If anyone one has any info (instructions) on how to get your computer to make cookies, please let me know (I sure am hungry)!!!
