It should say on the site you are ordering from whether it's appropriate for SOG.
If you go SOG, don't pinch.
SCROG, pinch.

I have dealt with soma's NYC diesel, but not any of the crosses he has made with it. I can tell you that if it resembles its parent NYCD at all, then you should not pinch it. It did not yield very well, and did not have strong branches at all. It is VERY petent though, and well worth the troubles. Finished product is very lemony, yet kind of sour. Kind of hard to describe. Good luck!

Well the NYCD that we grew out was very finicky, week branched, and low yielder. Could have been a stress issue, (high temps) hard to tell though since i only grew one, and only one time. It was killer stuff, but low, low yield. It looked as if we did top it, yield would have been less. The branches barley produced any buds, while all the weight was in the main cola. The cross that you have is prolly a better candidate for topping. Maybe the cross you have will prove to be more vigorous and grow fast like sativas do. Top it if its a fast grower and you see mad branching early on. If its week, and slow to grow, leave it alone and hope for the best. Like I said, it was a low yielder for us, and had about 10 grams of bud on the side branches. Ill grow it again one day, maybe I ll have better luck with the NYC strain next time around!!! Any one want to buy me some soma seeds. ;) j.k.
