Should my fan be blowing into or sucking out of the carbon filter?

thanks

it should suck out and be placed right next to your filter. It then should push the air exiting

ill ask a question here if no one minds. would one of the homeade carbon filters with say a 4"-6" duct fan be ok to remove odor? not being vented any place or no ducting actually, just scrubbing the air in a room with the plants? large room, say 9 plants max.same question as above, pushing or pulling through the filter? thanks.

I would think that because the box would end up doing the whole room you may go through alot more charcoal but in theory yes that should work. I would also think you would want the fan pulling air through the filter to the exterior.

Quite a few people use the fan/filter to recirculate and clean the air in their grow area.
