Zippo

I have a few questions about zippos.
Firstly, I've heard that zippos aren't good for smoking pot. Why, I don't know.
Second, I was woundering what kind of fuel I can fill it with besides the regular zippo lighter fluid. Like lamp oil, or whatever.

dont use a zippo when smoking out of a bowl or pipe...youll be sucking in mad fumes, not to mention the flame is big and unpredictable...i dont see why it would be much a problem for joints or blunts, but yeah, zippos arent good for smoking pot.

and im pretty sure its true that after using a zippo lighter for a while ur luubngs start to bleed. and the intense flame from the zippo makes ur glass bong or pipe weaker and more crackable

yea dude i didnt know about the fumes but its such a bitch lighting a deep bowl with a zippo they're a bit bulky and hard to position to hit the bottom of a bowl

stay with clippers (well real ones, not the shitty swan clippers) a good clipper will light upside down and comes with a very handy poky stick

Get a mini butane pipe torch... perfect for all lightings-up

nothing beats my zippo use it all the time when smoking and actually i think a flame from a zippo is not a s hot as a flame from butane or evers in lighters(can some one clarify that)

Zippos won't make your pipe brittle. The thing about a zippo is that the fuel used in them leaves a bad taste on the weed, it doesn't burn as clean as a butane lighter. That means you're inhaling all the vapors and soot created from the fuel and wick. They're ok for joints, blunts, or cigarettes because you only have to light it once and it's not too bad.

ok take it from me...zippo's used to be my friend (now bics are) with a zippo it's hard to get the flame to go to the bowl in the first place second of all if you do manage it, it burns like a son of a bitch (your lungs).

yea and you get that narsty taste from zippos. i dont like torches, it seems to burn all the weed too fast. bics all the time!

yea torches do burn it fast but i love the taste of a zippo, it just doesn't work that well and would not reccomend it but hey to each his own...if you want to use a zippo that bad go ahead....there is no real health problems behind it.

I collect zippos.Idont find them too good to use with a bong as i find i need more of a flame to pull it through.

They make some zippos specially for pipes where the metal thing around the flame has a hole in the side so you can easily light pipes with it. They have them in tobbaco shops around here. If you like a zippo and want to use it for pipes you might want to look into that.
