Trying to figure out what Im growing

I've got 2 wildcard plants growing and there's no way for me to find the origin. Is there any ways of making an educated guess at what kind of bud, or strain I'm growing?(without being educated):D
My leaves are really fat and dark, almost purpleish black tips and the nodes are pretty tight. Also 9 bladed leaves. I cant get a pic until tommorow but figured I'd ask.

Until you have bud, about the only thing you can usually tell is whether it's indica or sativa dominant. Yours sounds like it has a lot of indica traits.

My plant has the same thing, 9 leaves the edges are dark purple its kinda bushy and thank god i think its a baby girl!

i dont think you can tell if your plant is female yet,if you see the white hairs in my photo,thats what your lookin for,might have to put it in to flower first
i think the change of colour to the leaves is just a build up of nitrogen in the leaves,think its telling you that its got enough nitrogen for now(im sure one of the experts might be able to tell you for sure)
and the strain of my plants is bigbud

But like everyone is going to say, we can't tell what strain it is by a picture, let alone a description that you give. Oh, the tips of the leaves are purple? Oh shit son, you've got Purple Haze!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just kidding. Anyway, since the leaves are dark green, and fat, it's indica dominant.

I'm pretty sure it is female, But not positive.

Only way to know for sure is to take a culture and compare it to samples at one of the collectives . And w/o the means , or the access = Good luck . LOL .
