i havent seen any threads here on this yet so i figure i will post.

last month the dea raided natures medicinal on roberts lane for the 2nd time arresting everyone this time (owners & employee's)

following this raid our local sheriff came out and announced he will "no longer issue marijuana club permits"

THIS HAS SCARED ALL 6 OF OUR CLUBS INTO CLOSING : (

The whole town in in an uproar we staged a march across downtown with 50-75 people (it was 103 outside or we would have had more)

the worse part is that this was one of the sheriffs dutys before he took the job. our old sheriff gave permits not because he wabnted to but BECAUSE OUR COUNTY SUPERVISORS HAD TOLD HIM IT WAS NOW PART OF HIS JOB. but this new guy youngblood FORGETS HE WAS VOTED IN AND CAN ALSO BE VOTED OUT!

so we also crashed a board of supervisors meeting asking them to address this issue, they choose do DO NOTHING untill their next meeting on the 21st aug

all we can do now is hope the board sticks to their guns and forces the sheriff to DO HIS JOB or at least hands the duty over to the health department.

People live in bakersfield?

: )
yeah i know, i dont live there anymore but its still my nearest town with medical marijuana shops (OR WAS)

i used to see people in our stores who would drive 300-400 miles to stock up in bakersfield just because the prices were so good, and natures medicinal had the best prices (and seliction) of all.

i wouldnt be suprised is some people in the old _D_E_A were friends with club owners in other citys who were upset with N.M. and other bakersfield clubs driving overall prices down across the state

i say none of us should worrie too much, i think its a big meidia campaign by the DEA to rais support for their side.

its kind of funny all this starts right around the time of the hinchy robacher vote, it shows me "they" are scared "they" know this war is almost over and we are winning.

as it is right now the DEA CAN NOT RAID AND CLOSE EVERY SHOP IN CALIFORNIA, even if hey have enough manpower and jail cells they dont have enough prosecutors to deal with that many cases and even if they did it would tie the courts up for sooooo long lol

just in LA alone there are/were 400 clubs they couldnt raid them all :rastasmoke: thats why they are now making threats to the owners of the buildings that rent to these shops, THEY DO THIS BECAUSE THEY ARE LOSING AND THEY ARE DESPERATE THEY ARE PULLING OUT ALL THE STOPS BECAUSE NOTHING THEY HAVE HAS WORKED.

ITS UP TO ALL THE STORE OWNERS OF THIS STATE TO REMAIN OPEN ITS HELPS OUR CAUSE----SAFETY IN NUMBERS!

215 was passed in 96 thats 11 years ago now in that 11 years 11 states have passed their own medical marijuana laws THATS ONE A YEAR and the number isnt just growing itys starting to steamroll : )
i say 5 more years tops and justice and compassion will prevail this country will have federally legal medical marijuana

: ( the owner of the one store that re-opened was payed a visit by our local D.A. today.
the DA told the owner
"we dont want these stores in our county and if you dont shut your shop down by the end of the day i will have you arrested"

seems our DA forgot that he is a state/county official and that the state has told him not to mess with medical marijuana

im so sick of Kern (mothering naziville) county I CANT WAIT UNTILL THE NEXT ELECTION WHEN WE CAR RUN THESE TERRORIST OUT OF OFFICE.

thats what they are terrorist in the truest sense of the word : (
they are trying to push their own agenda by making the shop owners scared = typical corrupt government move keep people living in terror and they will do whatever "YOU" want them to :(

BUT YOU KNOW WHAT? THERE ARE THOSE WILLING TO STAND UP FOR THEIR RIGHTS AND FOR EVERY 5 THEY SCARE THERE ARE 1 OR 2 MORE THAT WILL STAND BACK AND SAY \/

F*** THAT!

i dont understand why would a state allow medical marijuana but then shut down the clubs?

its not the state that is shutting down the clubs you see when you recieve your medicine the state cant prosecute you and the cops are not suppose to mess with you its the d.e.a and other groups like that that are coming into states that have it for medicine and shut it down becouse federal law still prohibits the medical uses of marijuana for some reason

ok thanks for explaining it to me.

anyway its dumb, i hate how they always say "rock the vote" and "your vote really counts" but when the citizens vote for medical marijuana the federal government dont give a fuck about your vote.

It's because the federal government is using scare tactics into controlling us, this is something they are getting better and better at. Screw democracy, that is the last thing the government wants. If Bush really believed in spreading democracy he would start right here and stop wasting time in Iraq.

The feds scare state employees enough to the point that they better help them, and because of years of lies about marijuana many state employees are still under the "reefer madness" state of mind thinking marijuana is bad.

Any government employee that doesn't support medical marijuana in California and other states that have used the democratic process to vote it in, is a traitor and should be elected out as soon as possible. These people are not true Americans and do not deserve working for our government!

so anyone know, WHERE IS THE NEAREST CLUB/CLUBS TO BAKERSFIELD ???

any of you know of any on the eastern fringe of LA??

as of now it seems we wont have any shops of our own untill after the 1st of 08 :(

funny thing is right after these a$$holes (our local gov) told us that we "had" to put federal law above state on the medical marijuana issue-- A FEDERAL JUDGE OVERTURNED A LOCAL LAW WE HAD PASSED THAT SAID KERN COUNTY WOULD NO LONGER LET BIOSLUDGE FROM OTHER COUNTYS BE DUMPED HERE.

this law was passed by like 85%
the people of kern county DO NOT want sludge from other countys dumped here on our land.

but once again the feds have told us (the people of kern) THAT THEY DONT GIVE A FU(k what we want

yeah we are free (FREE TO DO WHAT THEY TELL US TO)

if we dont like the way a thing is we have the option to make a petition, get people to sign it, vote it into law : )
that what makes/made this country great and they love to tell us about things like that

but what they never tell us about is that NONE OF THAT /\ matters : (
we can vote for anything we want as long as "THEY" like it
if "THEY" dont like it "THEY" say it dont count or isnt valid or is trumped by another law

and thats what this all comes down to = "THEY" them, the a$$holes we put in office
CALIFORNIA STARTED THE PUSH TO GET STATE MEDICAL MARIJUIANA LAWS NOW WE NEED TO LEAD THE WAY ON THE NEXT STAGE, WHEN WE START TO VOTE PEOPLE OUT OF OFFICE SIMPLY ON THEIR OPPOSITION TO MEDICAL MARIJUANA LAWS IT WILL GET PEOPLE IN OTHER STATES, COUNTYS, CITYS TO DO THE SAME AND KEEP IT GOING RIGHT UP TO THE FEDS

bakersfield was one of the closest places for me too!!!! i just became a member of the prop 215 community a little over two months ago, and i went to bakersfield all the way from the central coast just to finally get to go to a coop and they were closed!!!! one and a half tanks of gas and a wasted day just to end up stopping by in tulare on the way home to get SOMETHING.... as if my day wasnt bad enough i walked in there and they said that when they called my dr.s office to verify my reccomendation.... guess what, they were closed... stupid drs office. well luckily i made the trip with one of my friends who has his reccomendation as well. anyway now i have to go to santa barbara and i still havent been able to make it down there, leaving me with the black market still and who knows the history behind that stuff???? luckily most of our "black market" material comes from nor cal area so we are fairly lucky i suppose.
on another note, does anyone live in slo county? i was just wondering cuz there is supposedly a coop project for templeton and i havent been able to find any more info than a few somewhat reliable people but nothing in writing or from a political figure of any sort. any help or insight on this would be much appreciated cuz driving to templeton is MUCH closer than bakersfield (o wait cant go there anymore you bastards in charge!!!) or santa barbara for that matter..... n e way, happy smoking!!!!!:hippy::rastasmoke:

The harder they try to keep marijuana illegal the harder and more extreme states like CA will get.

Fuck the elected officials who won't uphold the law they were elected to protect and enforce.
