LOS ANGELES - A minister accused of distributing marijuana through his church was convicted of a drug charge Thursday.
The Rev. Craig X Rubin, 41, faces up to four years, eight months in prison for possessing marijuana for sale, said Jane Robison, a district attorney's spokeswoman.
Rubin and some 400 members of Temple 420 say that marijuana is a riligious sacrament. They burn and smoke pot during services.
The reverend, who has appeared in episodes of the Showtime comedy "Weeds", said he won't appeal his conviction

i was thinking it was just a general minister.. like a typical catholic... i was about to come and say "they put their hands on an altar boy and face no real penalty, they pass out marijuana and get charged? wtf? :wtf:"

that sucks tho.... but i bet mostly everyone in that congregation was only there for the ability to smoke... not like he was a shaman or some shit...

still fucked up if you ask me, but every legal thing around marijauana is....

i say he's just being more like jesus, how else you think jesus eased so much pain, he was smoking up the ganj with everyone talking about peace and love, those miracles were just some high assed recolections of jesus doing cool shit, cause he was the man... it makes sense in a way if you think about it...
