I have a plant outside thats been there for a couple months now....Its getting pretty big and i think it might be time to transplant it into a bigger pot....Would a 5 gallon bucket be good or should i go with a trashcan? I want it to produce as big of buds as possible

You will have to make a potting mix with good drainage. I wouldn't put dirt in the trash can. If security is not an issue, and you get good sun, go for it. You will need alot of mix to fill it. Make sure to drill plenty of holes at the bottom and keep them unclogged.
Feed them plenty and maybe they will outgrow your house.

me i grow in swamps... i put mine in trash cans and drill no wholes so the can cean hold water and you will not have to water your crop as much... much easyer... the dirt will always be wet but not to wet so the plant soaks up so much water that the buds branches etc get so heavy they snap hope all gos well
