Hello everyone, here's another update; all questions & comments are very welcome.

OK, well I repotted all six plants tonight, into 17 litre tubs (which I think is about 4 UK gallons, maybe 5.5 in US), the biggest of the plants was drying out every other day.. so I figured it was time to upgrade. Tubs cost £4 each. No damage to any roots, they just slid out nice & easy - but I was sweating a bit thinking they'd just collapse as soon as they were out - VERY nice root system on all 6 plants - but they definitely needed repotting - thanks to Faithlessxxx for that one ;). Each of them took about another 5 litres of new soil & perlite, plus a light top dressing of blood & bone - boy does that stuff stink!

Oh - I also invested in a thermometer (£1.50 - $3.00) and a humidity tester (£4.50 - $9.00)... temp in the growroom is a steady 80-82f (around 30c), humidity is 55% - does that sound OK? It certainly feels a lot nicer in there since I bought another fan.. (in that I'm not sweating like a pig everytime I go in there!)But any comments on this would be appreciated.

So... thoughts are now, that I'm gonna veg under the 800w MH for another week, maybe 2 (making it 9 weeks veg in total), then swap to HPS. They should be ready around middle of October. I also got tomato feed (think its 6.5 / 6 / 6.5), but am not gonna start on that till after 10 days of 12/12 - does that sound right??

OK well thats it for now everyone, PLEASE let me know your thoughts..

Stay safe!!

MJD

PS - sorry that some of the photos aren't the right way up - I tried adjusting them, and then spent the next two hours trying to downsize the pics!!

Oh yea - btw, the plant in the middle, in case anyone was wondering, is basil - thought I may as well use the floor space for something!

The plants look pretty good in general but...

Don't take photos of your plants right after you spray them, when they are wet. To you, they look prettier when wet. To the camera, they look discolored. Take a close look at your photos and you'll see that it's impossible to tell what the leaves really look like.

Thanks for the photo advice Pharmacam - there are some other pics there that aren't wet!

AustinMan - hope the alias refers to the Lone Star State!

Anyone have any answers to my questions? Am curious re: set-up, temp & humdity?

Hi All,

I've switched the lights today to 2 x 400w HPS, and they go out tonight at 8pm! They've responded well to the repotting, and the blood & bone dressing I gave them on Tuesday. Checked the room for light leaks - I can't see a damn thing in there with the lights off

I've decided against going any further with vegging them, initially I was gonna veg for 12 weeks, but at that time had no idea how fast these things would grow (its my 1st indoor grow BTW).. so 7 weeks it is.

Humdity is a slight problem at the moment because the outside weather is really sticky today - growroom is running into 60% when i'm in there, and around 45-50% usually, temp @ 78f (5f cooler than the MH) - I did water them today tho which of course affects the air.

I have two fans running, and I can't think of anything that'll keep the humidity down some. Oh well, will see how it goes. Will keep y'all posted! In the mean time, any comments are gratefully received!
