what is the justification of banning peopel that are under age from this site. there is no legal age on cannabis and whilst it is not great young people smoke, they still have the choice too. im mean this is a hypothetical chat room anyway. its not like people would ever break the law and grow dope

The whole point is lost because of bitching, racist posts like this. Anyone, at any time can read this forum. The age restriction only tries keep at a minimum the rude, immoral, mean, racist posts on an what is supposed to be an adult content website. No matter what the mods did, kids could come here.

btw Snorbel I'll be happy to see those nubbish posts go. They are a bit hilarious but really just annoying. If they can't do the shit without getting in trouble for it in their own home then they shouldn't be doing it there. Go to the park or something. I am not a bad person but I believe anyone should be allowed to consume cannabis. If smoking is a big issue then let the younger ones ingest it or vaporize it. Or just be respectable enough to not stink up your parents house with it :p.

I think I am correct in saying (correct me if I'm wrong) that anyone regardless of age can read anything that is written on these boards you just need to be a member to post, so any kids who want to learn can come along and read all they need to know about cannabis, what they wont learn is about any other drugs.

I have to agree....all in all I'm not unhappy the kids are gone. The "I'm sooooo stoned" threads have already lessened by an amazing degree. The mis-information being passed around was pathetic.....not that all that was done by kids but they certainly tossed in their share. yes, they had something to offer that I will miss but not as much as the rest of the bs you had to wade through on this site to get anywhere.

Do we even know what the age is? 18? We're going to let a law be the blue print for the rules on this site now? The whole reason I signed up in the first place was because it was a place that catered to people who smoke weed, which is illegal. Adult should just mean being mature enough to handle the discussion.

I was 15 or 16 when I started smoking pot. At that time computers were still operating on DOS and I don't know of anyone who had the net in their house. I didn't have access to a forum to chat with smokers from across the world and I still turned out fine and an accomplished pot smoker. Hell cell phones came in little pieces of luggage about half the size of a briefcase. Don't even think about texting and Blackberrys, that wasn't around then. Ipod yeah right, try the walkman.

It is a shame to loose some of the more mature, younger members but those that have been locked out will get over it. They can still read all the posts except for in the feedback section, but they can't see pics.

For those younger members that wrote immature posts prompting the new rules, maybe this will be a learning lesson for them in maturity and consequences of one's actions.

I'm surprised I haven't been banned yet actually. I don't expect any different treatment then all the other kids got. The rule is wrong and it shouldn't even be applied to members who got here before it was made as an above poster said. So I'm 16 and if I get banned ill just go join all the other members in the same boat as me, If I don't, good.

What's Funny is this site is completely legal for any age to view by standards. Since it is just informational it is just like going to any other site. If it contained Adult content then it would and should have restrictions. Think of this site as a Big book that everyone contributes too. If you went to the Library you would be able to get any book involving drugs at any age. It may be un-moral but to society smoking weed in general is also.

About two weeks ago, somebody created a poll asking for the ages of the members. The first selection of the age groups was for people under 18 years old, and it stated that anybody in that bracket must leave the website. I posted a message in the thread saying that, to the best of my knowledge, there are no age restrictions on cannabis.com, all ages are welcome, and something else like, "So who put you in charge?".

Shortly after that the thread was deleted, and the rest is history. :thumbsup:

i live in my grandma's house and she was gonna let me grow... but she changed her mind...

of course being a semi respective/responsible adult, i didn't just say 'ima do it anyways'

Yeah, but I'm against this rule (even though I just joined the site) but I guess there's nothing I or anyone else can do about it if this is the owner's decision. He has the right to do whatever he wants with his site. I agree with whoever said we should basically ban immature people because in my opinion age is only a number. And from my experience there are plenty of mature people under the age of 18 and plenty of immature people above the age of 18. I used to spend a lot of time on xbox live and anyone who's ever had it can tell you the same. Granted there are more mature people in the 18 and up range than the 18 and under range but I'm still against this.

IMHO: I think that the age limit should be lowered. This site is dedicated to Cannabis. How to grow and clearing up cannabis myth. How then can a young person learn the truth about cannabis if they are pushed aside? From the dealer who sold it to them? They will only seek to push the heavier stuff on em bfore they know it. This site has a great name and its more then likely a place they will find easily even in a search engine or by luck and common sence. Why should WE police oour site and do the parenting for society? Let the parents monitor their kids web content and lets stick to posting facts and win a war of propaganda! The younger generation will grow up and shun all the bullshit and realize tey have the truth from the experts here.
