This is my first post here, me and my wife had something very strange happen to us over the past week that I wanted to see if anyone could explain to me.

First let me start by saying when I was 17 (I am 23 now) I had a cyst removed in my lower back before I went in the military and it hasn't given me much of a problem since it was originally removed. And now that I think of it none at all since I have been smoking.

We have both smoked pretty much every day for the past year or so. She just got a job and has to take a drug test within 2 weeks so she had to stop right away (I quit also to support her) within a few days of her not smoking she developed a cyst in her lower back that had to be drained right away because of the pain it was causing her (her mother and sister have the same cyst and have it drained yearly but she has never had a problem before). We didn't think much of it until 2 days after she developed the cyst.... Suddenly my cyst that hasn't grown at all in over a year suddenly filled up with liquid again almost to it's original size and started hurting very badly... I had the idea to try smoking again (being the nice guy I am LOL) Strange thing is when I woke up this morning the swelling was way down and so was the pain...

Is this a miracle.. LOL j/k but seriously can anyone think of an explanation? Could it just be a coincidence for both of us? or did the smoking help somehow?

Put heatpacks on it for 15-20 mins twice a day for around a week. This allows the waxy substance within the cyst to 'melt' and be absorbed into your body. If this doesn't work, seek medical advice again.:(

I can't think of any distinctive link between the smoking and the re-appearance of the cyst. However, mentioning this to a doctor may not be the worst thing. You may have found another use for teh GanJa
