Technically yes. Have I ever seen it, I am not sure. One patient had a bad reaction to a set of drugs including cannabis. These were not the class you are describing. The doc added them back one by one until he found the problem. It was not cannabis.
I could bore you with definitions but first year students take pharmacy ( and then you never stop). It is killer what they make you memorize. Anyway the answer is yes it is possible.
Would your prescribing doctor be open to discussion??
Good luck.

I have a friend that is bipolar and scitzofenic(sp). Well we don't let him smoke because when he does it cancels out his meds (mood stabalizers and anti psycotics(sp)) and he acts CRAZY.

Personal experience, Vicodin, no problems, also Gabapentin, not anti-depressants, but prescriptions, thought I would offer those up.

Cannabis can raise blood pressure, and is an antiinflammatory, among other things. So don't take cannabis with medications that also raise blood pressure, etc. Of course tobacco and other common substances probably cause worse interactions than cannabis.

cannabis lowers blood pressure ... it dilates the blood vessels, allowing more flow, thus, lower pressure ... I have gone from 4 BP drugs per day, to 2, just from smoking a bit of pot at night ... and, the regulated pressure lasts throughout the next day ... this, after taking 4-7 BP pills per day, for over ten years, with no improvement whatsoever ... my cardiologist is fuming, he's losing all his drug-company bonuses for pushing their friggin' pills ... :smokin:

I have/should be taking the same type of meds. I smoke cannabis and have had no real interactions except when you first start out on the meds. If you do not take them yet, I would start taking them, take a 3-4 week break, smoke once, see how you feel, if nothing bad happens, you should be fine. If you have never smoked cannabis before and want to, look for other threads for smoking for the first time.

Maybe it does lower blood pressure, but I'm sure it can raise the heart rate. So maybe if you are taking BP lowering medication, and take cannabis, you may lower your blood pressure too much. I don't really know, but I do know that if cannabis was legal doctors would be able to give much better advice on how it does interact with medications.

yes, it can raise the heart rate, but that's an entirely different situation than blood pressure ... :smokin:
