Seeing as how it's not a TV or a movie, really...
Here's a link to a streaming video of Never Get Busted Again- the video by the ex-narcotics officer on drugs/searching and seizing of drugs.
TV Links - Video (http://tv-links.co.uk/video/9/5773/8603/55249/79212)
The beginning is lengthy, but it's a good story.
EDIT: The busting info, in case you should choose to bypass the background story, starts at 14:00.

good vid but when u get in front of a cop and you are in a real situation it's a different world man... u dont remember what to say from youtube vids when your blazed and about to be arrested.. cops lie and bend the law to let you search them, and sometimes they outright break the law.. remember, it costs MONEY to sue a cop, and oyu dont get reimbursement, you pay a fee to a lawyer to have a charge potentially dropped. a lot of shit can play in to each bust like where you are (cops might lie and say its closed so they could arrest you and then search youi cause youre under arrest which may or may not be true but it will get you to give up bud when youre staring down some deep shit if you dont cooperate)
i was busted by a cop but he made us break pipes dump weed and leave.. i tried to do that shit.. cop was a weasel, i was stoned and he started saying things that made me unsure of myself, started getting agitated saying "so now you wanna lie to me" among other shit, he saw us smoking the last hit of a blunt from a far distance.. real life is a different story but this vid is informative for some people who give up too easily or dont know the law

Man, cops just try to keep people fearful so they become literally zombies trained to believe their command.
And yet, sometimes it doesn't work on some people and they are the ones that shoot at the cops, mainly drug dealers and gangsters and just retarded people, and the very small minority of righteous people who fight corrupt cops.
But I have studied the laws long enough to know what to do in this kind of a situation. I want to say this first. If you get pulled over and it smells like weed in the car (aka you were smoking and driving), they will arrest you because the smell is probable cause. thats why it is always not good to smoke and drive. If you do, smoke before hand because you will enjoy the high much better and you will be safer legally. Use Visine too if you are the type where your eyes get bloodshot.
Now if you get pulled over and you have some on you and you have it hidden where no one can see, but aren't high, you are in better luck.
The trick really is not to look nervous, which some people will respond "I can't calm down though!" Learn to. Just relax. They are people and they are not immortal. Don't let the badge fool you. And never consent to anything! The cop will say "mind if I take a look?", in which you will respond with, "I do not consent to a search of my things and belongings and I do not wish to answer any other questions without the presence of an attorney".
They will probably say "well we'll get the dogs than!" Respond with "Again, I do not consent to a search of me or my belongings. You are in violation of the 4th amendment of the US Constitution. You need a warrant to search. I will not answer any other questions from here on without the presence of an attorney."
So right up to this point, you have clearly explained to the police that you do not consent to any searches and that you will not answer any more questions without a lawyer present. now, say no more after that because the cops will be faced with a legal challenge. the reason why the ASK you to search is because they have no probable cause at this point and no warrant, so they use your 4th amendment rights against you by confessing so they don't have to get a warrant. They scare you into doing it. its their job. if they do a search without a warrant or probable cause, the evidence must be thrown out of jail.
Cops will probably think that you are drunk than high, but still don't take any kind of tests because they can do the drugged driving tests which test for just metabolites. So essentially and in theory, you could be pulled over and jailed for smoking a blunt last week. Draconian and retarded.....yes.

Of course. I'm going both days as well. I wish it was a real festival where you can pitch tents and stuff. Would've saved me from getting a hotel room nearby.
I can't wait!

I have seen similar videos. The ACLU has one.
Lol....so you think I would just consent like that? You don't know me that well do you. There are times when I carry up to 1/2 oz on me. I am very knowledgeable about this situation and the Drug War and what TO DO and what NOT TO DO.
I can just be as intimidating as a cop. Don't let them fool you with their tough guy image and loud words or threats. Image is their source of fear.
If you do not know what to do in this kind of encounter, than you obviously shouldn't be driving high or carrying weed.
If the cop asks you to step out of the car....so be it, but lock your doors and roll up your windows.
YOU NEED TO SAY YOU DO NOT CONSENT TO A SEARCH CLEARLY!! THE REASON THEY ASK TO SEARCH IS BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE ANYTHING ON YOU YET!!! Do not answer any questions! That is your 5th amendment right. Make the cop's job hell if he is going to go through all that time and effort to bust you when he could be out looking for child molesters and rapists. You can do it. You just have to know what to do. lol. If he asks, tell him simply that you wish to remain silent until an attorney is present and refuse to answer any questions.
The fancy hiding things that Barry presents are ok, but too much time. All you really need is your glove compartment or something closeable. I use my closeable ashtray or glove compartment. lol
Dude, as long as there is no smell, you have your weed out of plain view, and you don't seem high and you know your legal rights, there should be no problem at all with a cop. Than again, the cop can be a Nazi, but rest assured, the evidence will be thrown out of jail if you do not consent and they search anyway. Cops can be so ridiculous with what they do that its more than laughable. DO NOT ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS IF THEY ILLEGALLY ARREST YOU!!!!! That will be it and just wait until you get an attorney.
If police are going to go through the immense time and hassle to prosecute cannabis users, give them the same shit by not saying anything and making it much harder for them to do actually something. They don't have much on you besides possession if you don't talk or cooperate. It's always best not to speak with police because they will use Nazi tactics to make your life worse. It's their job. Sad I understand.
Oh...and acting gay in a traffic stop isn't too bad at all. lol

When you don't consent, then they KNOW you have something. They say it on the radio and call other cops to the scene to question you and to find out what is inside of that car.
"We have a refusal, we have a refusal."
Huge red flag, big reasonable suspicion.
If you've hidden your stash well enough you don't need to worry.

All of you have excellent points. A simple video probably won't be a formula if you get caught, but bits and pieces of the advice are handy. I don't care how innocent you sound or look, if someone refused a search, that would make me be suspicious of what they have to hide. Chances are if the patrolman's not a dick, then if you refuse a search, they're not gonna waste a lot of time and effort to get to search, but if you live in an area notorious for cops who take advantage of you, I simply wouldn't carry large amounts of weed in the car.
It's a lot of fine-tuning. I can't stand it when my friends light up a J in their car in a known cop area with rap music blastic and driving recklessly. It's just begging to get pulled over.
When I light up with friends, I have pre-determined spots without cops, I know the area well, and I ALWAYS drive smart.
THC- I hear ya, I wish we could have set up tents, it would've been awesome.
virgin fest was way too much for me to go. im trying to get in contact with bongman, cause we're going to the immortal technique show tonight. i made him a pretty little thread and everything :( .

If you've hidden your stash well enough you don't need to worry.Let them be suspicious and bring all the dogs that they want!! If they are going to go throw all that trouble to hassle you, return the favor!! THE REASON THEY ASK IS BECAUSE THEY HAVE NOTHING ON YOU ALREADY!!!
You can be the stupid one and consent. All you have to tell is that there is a 4th amendment in the US constitution which requires a warrant for searches and thats it. If they find anything and you were searched illegally, the evidence must be thrown out of court. MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT CONSENT!
DO NOT LET THEM BULLY YOU!! KNOW YOUR RIGHTS!!! THATS WHY WE HAVE THEM!! Unfortunately, that is there job to hassle you.
You see, cops really don't like the Constitution because then if they followed it to the T, than they would not make their quotas or busts.
The problem is really that the people DON'T KNOW THEIR RIGHTS!
No one needs to be hassled by police like that and no one should ever be arrested for cannabis!
