I need help ASAP!!!
I need to know which one would you guys/gals go with if you had to pick one? For some reason the papaya i germinated and planted only had 4 actually sprout through the soil so...I'd like to get another strain immediately! I had some Nl and PPP but i sold them to a college friend. So because of what happened i want to get some more seeds and i need to make a decision asap because i would like to get my grow log up and going.
So which should i go with C99/AK-47?!?!

AK-47 is an awesome strain, i'd pick it over anything

Cinderella99 is my favorite, but is pretty 'spacey' ... AK47 is more of a balanced effect ... either are easy to grow, don't need much in the way of fertilizers ... tolerant ... AK47 generally stinks the house up, C99 has a faint lemon-aroma ... :smokin:

Well their gonna be grown SOG style so i dont think the space is gonna be an issue but i guess my question should be which do you think would give good yields in a SOG style grow since they both seem to be a kick ass strain?!
Image reaper im taking your word on the Joey Weed strains because this is where im gonna buy the seeds!
Thanks for all the replies!

both C99, and AK47 are pretty good about throwing buds on the lower branches, too ... that may, or may not, influence your growing options (I grow 'trees', never did SOG, or SCROG, so I'm no help to ya, there) ... you will be extremely satisfied with Joey Weed's gear ... in fact, he has an AK47 x Cinderella99 hybrid, that makes your choice easy ... one thing I like about Joey Weed, if you read his descriptions carefully, you can kinda pick out his favorites ... I think he really liked that one ... :smokin:
AK99
(AK47 x Cinderella 99 )
Indoor
This is an F1 cross of Brother's Grimm Cinderella99 and AK47 from Serious Seeds. These are both legendary strains and we would expect a cross between them to be something special. I've been growing out some of these and they really do seem to be special. It's very nice smoke. The high is intense but not as trippy and speedy as C-99. The smell is mild not strong, it seems to take after the C-99 father there. It smells faintly of skunk with a hint of spice. The yield on this one is good. I got over 5 oz each of dried buds from the ones I grew out.
Indoor flowering: 8 weeks. ... ( $50 for ten seeds ) ... :smokin:

Looks like a winner! I'll order these and next time i'll order both of the individual strains to see how they influenced the ak99! Since i have never smoke c99 i'd love to experience its idividual characteristics but i'll have my chance in due time.
Make sure you guys stop by my grow log its gonna be a good one for a first timer. Its gonna be a nice sized sog grow! Harvest every 2 weeks!

I'd pick pure c-99 I want to bred my own strain someday via clones. The flowering period is already down to pretty much the shortest time period around with the bes high. I know that they are sativa and hard to work with, but the toil is worth it. I'd rather cross my own ak-47 and c-99 than buy one in the end.

O god dude dont do this to me!!!
I was so close to ordering the ak99 now im stuck in the dilemma again of which one should i order after reading your post, lol. God this is tough because AK-47 is my favorite but i havent tried C-99 and everyone keeps saying how awesome it is. Someone just save me and tell me which one to order. Dont tell me which one you think is better and dont tell me their attributes just come in and say order the C-99.
THanks!

:(Greetings,
Can anyone tell me if they have had good service from Rhino when ordering their products. I had placed an order on 07-19-07, sent e-mail informing them that payment was sent, ask to be informed when payment has been received and have not received a reply.
I will be patient, however, I would believe two weeks should be sufficient time for priority mail to arrive at their facility.
I intend to wait 30 days and sent another e-mail request for order status. As of today, order status say's payment pending...?
Should I be concerned? Your time to give me some insight on your previous experience with Rhino's customer service and ordering their products will be appreciated...
Thank you,
RT

After much hair pulling and research Tea Party decided to order up some AK99 (along with Romulan and Willie Nelson) two weeks ago, looking forward to their arrival. Decided to go that route instead of one c99 and one Ak47. Thought about the crossing route, but from what I have read, crossing with good results demands a huge facility and hundreds of seeds to pick the best plants for breeding. Could be wrong. I am new to this, but I don't think it is possible to be a decent breeder in a closet with a couple of dozen seeds. I t is my impression that you plant the seeds, pick the best mother and clone her as long as the lungs hold out. As always. I am open to correction or corroboration.

I hate to give you the "Go either way" response but both are KILLER strains. Grow C99 before you grow AK. Or grow C99 before AK. Eiether strain is well bred and a "madman" to quote Plup Fiction. Good Luck.

I went with C99 and actually they came in yesterday. It took 2 1/2 weeks and that was without fast shipping. I give Hemp Depot 2 thumbs up! I would and will order from them again.

you're gonna love growing Joey's C99, it's very forgiving, and easy to grow ... go lightly on the nutrients, 1/2 strength, once a week, she isn't a pig ... NO nutes for the first two weeks after they sprout, and don't overwater ... veg her at least 6 weeks, 8 is better (for yield) ... she will probably flower only about 6-7 weeks, when the trichomes will start to turn amber ... I harvest at about 10%-20% amber trichs ... then dry, cure, and enjoy !

hmmm, I see where I already posted similar to this, sorry ... :wtf:

well, for one thing, you are talking apples and oranges here ... the growing characteristics and effects of these two are completely different ... one has an intense body stone, while the other has almost none ... one will stink up the whole neighborhood, while the other can growing your Grandma's kitchen, and she wouldn't notice it ... you're the one growing and smoking it, you're the only one that can decide ... good luck :smokin:

Image Reaper. I trust your posts a great deal. Is it the book reading dog avatar, or the photo of you with your bike?...I do not know. Here is my question:
Have you had any personal experience with AK99? After all of your glowing reviews of C99 I am bummed on having chosen the AK99. Do you think it would be worth it to try the C99 next time, or would it be too similar to the hybrid? I have no personal experience with telling one from the other, as I have always just smoked what was available and have never kept track or asked what the strain was. If it was good, I would go back, if it was not...
The AK99 is not ready yet, so I don't know even what it will be like compared to what I am used to (probably hashplant or some sort of couchlocking variety). I have Federation Romulan and Reeferman Bodhisativa beans waiting in the wing, and I don't even know how these three would compare to each other...anyway. You (and the article in the latest High Times) have me wanting C99 too. I didn't know it was bagseed from the Jack Herer strain. Please give me the benefit of your smoking experience.:D

Tea Party ... don't be disappointed in your choices, you have a whole lifetime of sampling, ahead of you  ... marijuana strains differ from each other, in different ways, but it's entirely a personal thing as to which is 'best' ... AK47 is VERY popular, probably more so than C99 (I never even heard of Cinderella99 until I grew it, kinda rare in these parts) ... a lot of smokers don't like C99, complaints of 'too racey-spacey, paranoia, etc' ... I suspect when you grow out your AK47 correctly, you'll think it doesn't get much better ... good stuff ... it's all about tastes and preferences ... just like some guys prefer blondes and brunettes, give me one of those dangerous, crazy-ass redheads ! ... little-known fact: Cinderella was a violent, over-sexed, insatiable redhead with a penchant for kinky sex, that lost control and brutally murdered her step-sisters ... :wtf: ... what a girl :D

Fucking hilarious! It is actually the AK99 that I have--(Ak47xC99). That is why I was wondering if you would recommend getting the plain C99 strain in addition, or if you thought if would be better to try something totally different since there is already a little C99 cross in the quiver?

I couldn't say which C99 hybrid is the 'best' ... I am highly impressed with the Northern Lights x Cinderella 99 (NL99) that some friends and I grew out ... extremely easy to grow, very good yield, faint lemony odor, and very potent stuff  ... a friend was growing out the C99 x Blueberry, and said it was doing beautifully, but he had to tear his grow setup down (impending po-po), and never got to finish it ... hope that helps a little ... :smokin:

I cannot imaging HD screwing anybody. It is probably better to wait with the condemnation until the situation is resolved, whatever it may be. (What is wrong with the C99 seeds anyway? You did not say. Are they not germinating? Did they not arrive? What's the deal?) It only confuses people who are looking for a reputable company. Besides, one email reply is better than zero, which is what you get with almost everybody else. Maybe I got your two missing e-mails by mistake. I did not even send them one, but they sent one to me anyway.
Not knowing the situation, all I can say is, No company is perfect, and sometimes accidents and mistakes happen. It is the price of trading in a modern, techno, weed-criminalized world. Tell your "buddy" to hang in there and give peace a chance, and also remind him/her of what a blessing it is to not get screwed over when dealing with criminals, which is what seed shopping is.
