Porcupines are found throughout western and northern North America. They prefer to live in coniferous forest areas. Porcupines will wander from prairie river bottoms to deserts to alpine tundra..

They all had them inside their mouths.
The rott had it bad, but the 3rd dog had it the worst.
The quills were pierced through his lips, cheeks, ears, and tongue, and Still all along the top

There are a lot of porcupines in the Catskill mountains. I never saw any, but they're there. It's not an agressive animal at all, and will not attack unless it's absolutely necessary. They're vegetarian as well, herbivore to be more precise.

We were camping in the alps once in France a few years ago. It was really nice out and kind of cool so we decided to sleep outside. My friend woke up and had a porcupine sleeping on his head! haha

When my father was in the army, some of the guys put a porcupine in another soldier's sleeping bag as a joke.
