its illegal period. it isnt decriminalized, although the punishments are very weak compared to the states. it will soon be legalized i believe, as soon as the conservatives are out, but they arent yet. MARIJUANA IS STILL ILLEGAL IN CANADA, and thats the bottom line

People like Paul Martin and Jean Chretien fucked up Canada and they were in power for like 12 years, Paul suceeded Jean Chretien who was in office from Nov 4 1993 till Dec 12 2003 then Paul Martin came in until 2006, in there 12 years in office, not once did they seems to be pro legalization or anything and it was still illegal, now that they're not in power, why the sudden change in heart for legalization? Sounds like they need more votes and I wouldn't count on them making it legal or decriminalizing it if they came into power again..

i think the big changes to the pot laws for canada will come in november after marc emerys trial. if the goverment dosnt extradite him and the other 2 then our laws will become less strict
