Here in about a month or so I'll be living in Richardson (college etc), and I'm wonderin if there's anyone from the area who's going to college there or who knows of any good places to eat / go out / buy stuff (headshops?)

Thanks :D:rastasmoke:

Hi guy. Sorry nobody has responded yet. Welcome to our part of the world. I hope you find all the fun you can handle here.

I'm afraid that I'm just sliiiiiiiiiiightly past college age, so I can't tell you the "in" places to go for fun. But there is a store on Central Expressway called Retro you might want to visit. And there are several Gas Pipe stores around as well. Probably some more that I'm not familiar with.

As many local college age people as there are on here, you're bound to meet some good folks.

Take care and have a great day.:D
Onward!

Try and be patient, No Limit. There are lots of Texans from the DFW area here, including me. We have several threads in this forum that provide lists of Dallas-area headshops. Here's one link:

One of the people I hope you can get to know in time is a guy here named UTD Toker. He's about your age and lives not far from where you are and is a tremendously nice guy. Just be patient and give your fellow Texans a bit more time to respond. I promise they're out there and are almost as nice as OnwardThroughTheFog above. (Hey, Onward!)

Yeah, I'm from the DFW Area myself, but I'll be about 45 minutes away from anyone I know, or any decent headshops.

Seeing as UTD Toker apparently is going to the college I'll be attending, I wouldn't mind getting to know him either heh.

Thanks everyone :)

Hi birdgirl. Miss hearing from you. I hope you and your family are doing well. I may be very behind in asking, but is your sister doing okay at this time? And is school going well?

Take care and have a great weekend.:D

Hey, Onward! Good to hear back from you. Sorry I didn't happen back across this and post a reply sooner.

School is going well. I just began my second year. The first one was exhausting but fun. I didn't get much of a vacation this summer because I had to use my time off to have some spinal surgery.

I'm sorry to have to tell you that my sister Bess passed away early last November. I should have posted something here on the Texas forum but didn't have the heart to. Things progressed very quickly once the cancer metastisized to her brain last summer. In some ways it was a mercy she didn't have to endure that illness any longer, but I still miss her terribly every day. Here was the little tribute to her that I posted in the main lounge last November when she passed. It has long since faded into the archives, but I found it among my husband's post history, which is short compared to my own.

Hope you and yours are doing well. Take care of yourself!

Birdgirl I'm sorry for your loss :(

My best friend had cancer, and it was a very tough time for me, so I can kind of relate.

Things can only go up :)
