Cannabutter

Hi all

Is it possible to make cannabutter using a double boiler. By double boiler I mean a bowl over a pan of boiling water, like you use to melt chocolate or make custard.

Would there be enough heat to get the THC in the butter. If this was possible I think this would be a good way as there is no chance of the butter burning like it could if it was just in a pan over a direct heat.
