I figured that this may be the appropriate place to ask the science lovin' people a couple questions. I like to consider myself a cannabis enthusiast and I definetly enjoy burning the herb. The only (I don't want to say problem) thing that I wonder about when I get stoned is what goes on, scientifically with the body, when someone gets red eyes and cottonmouth. Is it just forgetting to blink? Do I stop salivating when I smoke pot? Maybe someone can find a way to better illustrate to me what exactly is going on.

this isnt scientific, just heresay...
some people's eyes turn red because of pressure being released from the weed (which is why it works so great for glaucoma)
about cottonmouth, i think it's just because some of your body systems slow down due to weeds effects on the CNS (this i absolutely pulled out of my ass, someone correct me please if it's wrong lol)

^ That's a stupid answer. You get bloodshot eyes because the veins in your eyes expand when you get high and a lot of blood rushes to your eyes. That's also why it's good for glaucoma, cuz it makes your eye drain its fluids easier.
