If someone was to grow outdoors, but in a pot, how big would the pot have to be? And how much water a day does it need? thanks :)

the bigger the pot the better. try to find a 10 gal. When watering the rule is don't apply till its dry.

it really depends on the size of the plant 10 gallon seems overkill have seen large plants grown in 5 gallon buckets that do well and if you started late in the season you may not even need one that large.

Big pots are SO expensive! Terribly over priced! Trash cans and waste baskets can be made into big pots. Just remember to drill a couple of holes in the bottom! Presently, I grow in 19 gallon tubs from Walmart-$4 each. Cannabis has an extensive root system when healthy. More is better! - Granny:hippy:

I'm using a 5 gal. (see pics) Anything bigger and it would be hard to move. I've had to move it a few time due to hail and peak sun plus I'm sure by the end I'll be moving inside for frost, but if you don't have to move it, the bigger the better.
