So my neighbor (we'll call him Bill) below me has been a real dick lately. I had one of my best friends move in with me recently (working out really well so far). My neighbor hates him, as he does all my friends. I'm really quiet by myself and give that guy a lot more respect than anybody else would and way more than he deserves. My buddy is a normal 27 year old guy (I guess) who does normal things like play some music in the afternoon. I got a hell of a stereo. But we keep it turned down and way down at night. Then we started having a couple girls come over pretty regularly. We sit in the living room, talk and drink. My neighbor below me has started hating on me for having a roommate and doing the stuff a normal college student would do. He's called the cops on us at least a dozen times in the past few weeks. They only came out here about half those times. They acted like dicks at first, but I talked to the courtesy officer here (real cop who basically just stays at the apartment and on duty for whatever happens here) and got things cleared up. He's actually cool as shit!

So we (me, my roomie, Bill, my other neighbors, the courtesy officer and apartment management) all got tired of Bill calling the cops for stupid shit. He was calling all times of the night saying we were playing music too loud, when the stereo wasn't even on or while we were sleeping. So management said something about one of us moving into another unit. I kinda volunteered to make the move myself, as opposed to my neighbor moving. I'm ready for a fresh apartment. Been in this one three years and it's kinda wrecked. Will try to keep the next one cleaner. I'm not a slob, just messy. I hate to give Bill the idea he won, but I don't think I'm really losing the war. It's kind of a win-win-win-win situation. Management was really helpful and waived a lot of transfer fees. The courtesy officer is cool with me. My neighbors seem to be taking my side. I think they think Bill's a dick too. And I hope his next neighbors are twice as loud.

But we got two days to move this weekend. I've got a 3-bedroom apartment full of stuff. Living room set, big screen TV, large aquarium, two beds, a studio, another entertainment center, all kinds of stuff. We started packing today. It's gonna be a bitch. Being in the beginning of the school quarter isn't making it any easier. At least it's not far, just across the complex. Got lots of folks who can help too. So here's to getting the f#@k out of a bad situation.
