never just use 1 type of soil. go with a soilless mix with some time release nutrients like pro-mix. in your pot put some at the bottom, then add some sphagum moss, then spray the moss with a foilage blooming spray, then add your plant from the smaller pot and fill the sides to about 1 inch from the top with a mix(mix up soiless with some potting soil and some sphagum moss and some perrenial plant food and bone meal and perlite) then fill the last inch and level the top of your pot with thesoiless mix. and only water from the bottom! just do what people have proven and shown you like me.

I forgot to say to add a 1\4 cup of (powdered 30%calcium/3%sulfur mix) to your mix your mix will make about a 14 liter bag to use.

so there isnt really one type of soil I should use?

if I use Foxfarm, should I add anything?

If i just want to mix the pearlite, soil, sand, etc.... what would the ratios/measures be for a pot?
