First closet grow with 250 HPS lights and soil(i'm not sure if i want a bigger light)

I am planning on mothering about 5 plants, my closet is pretty big and im told its like the perfect closet for growing. I have a decision to make about HPS lights, i'm eithergonna get a 250 or a 400?! im just not sure which. Its not a money problem, its more of a electricty bill and heat problem. My seeds are due here on the 26th and i dont need the lights till the veg stage but i want to have it here when i need it so a quick response would be greatly appreciated :thumbsup:

do you have any plans for heat extraction?......I would go for the 400 but thats all depending on your environment.

i have a 250 and i wish i would have gone with the 400 if i could do it again i would'nt get anything smaller than a 400

You'll be happier with the 400 providing you can vent the area well. A 250 will do the job, but a 400 will add more of that certain something special.

venting isnt a problem.... i wish i had a camera so i could photograph my closet but several expierienced people have looked at it and were amazed by it its a pretty sweet little set up, i have ventalation the humidity never goes above 30% and the heat never above 80F and i have all the walls painted white. Thanks for the input as always its greatly appreciated and i think im gonna go with the 400 HPS then:jointsmile:

I have a couple Galaxy 400w digital ballasts. They're quiet, use a little less electricity than magnetic ballasts and will power HPS and MH bulbs. Mine are in cool tubes and the outside of the tubes is just a little warm to the touch.

hey bro whats the temps like up there near anglefire? if your inside temps dont go above 80F then you should be good because adding a 400 hps will bring your closet temps up 7-10 degrees without good ventalation. im in your area but dealing with a little more heat but the 400 is the best because my 2-150 werent enough light....peace from new mexicohttp://boards.cannabis.com/cannabis-pictures/122973-5-weeks-flowering-2-150-hps-new-mexico-closet-grow.html
