Hey,
I have a friend who has had his wisdom teeth removed this morning. He has stitches in his mouth, and he says he feels fine, but has no idea whether smoking would be a bad thing to do right now.
Anyone know if it is ok? Would a vaporizer be any different?

Hes got to be real careful not to get dry socket from sucking the blood clot out. Eating it is much safer. I've had dry socket and it hurts a lot longer than a pulled tooth. Its really not worth the risk IMO.

just tell him to take a week off, you dont wanna do anything to dry socket. tell him to show some self control or somthing, its just weed, and its his health at stake.

I dont know if it is different but I had a biopsy on my lip once and they said I shouldnt smoke for 24hrs. I smoked about 2 hrs later and it never affected it.
My advice to your friend would be to leave it about 5 days though. I think inside the mouth it would be different.

i smoked up the ganj soon as i got out of the hospital (my mouth was still numb from the anasthetic), it was fine for me, apparently there are some risks, but i decided to take em and nothing bad happened, having said that, listen to the guys above, they do know what they are talking about,

I waited 3 days after i had a cyst out of my jaw, and smoked a small bowl. just be very careful and dont rip the bowl too hard when u smoke, or those sockets will bleed like a mother fucker.
If he would just read the sheet they gave him it says no smoking on it. Now I'm sure that was meant as tobacco smoking, but tell him not to smoke anyway. My friend got his wisdom teeth removed and the same day he smoked with me, the next day he was in agony and he waited until most of the pain was gone before smoking again.

I smoked after having mine out which was cool because the Vicodin the doc gave me made my stomach sick. Bad news is that the sucking part of smoking dislodged the scab & exposed the nerve aka "dry socket" It hurt like an SOB!:hippy:
