what a piss poor, subjective and misinterpretated text of utter bollocks. really i mean if you don't believe in god thats ok. but why go to all this trouble of typing. for something you dont believe it.
you would make a good politician because of the spin that you put on alot of misinterpretated texts, taken out of context. i think you really need to ask yourself the question you choose to ask us. because from my reasoning you are the one who is afraid.
your essay if we can call it that, is just falsified projection. usually when people do believe or like something. it never crosses their mind. therefore it is quite easy to deduce you are the one afraid or running. i imagine you have cut out every shred of happiness in your life and are trying to do this to others through the nature of truth. drawing similarites between you and george bush maybe.
the truth is you don't have the answer. philosophers and scientists for centuaries have been arguing between the two factions of religon and science. you my friend do not have the answer. unless you are that egocentri to believe you have finially out smarted hubble nad pythagorous and put plato and aristotal to rest. man kind since the dawning of time has always worshiped, gods, sprits, dieties. it is part of what makes us human.
religon will always be take to extremes by those jaded by society and spurned by themselves. often the hatred of religon is a hatred on the self, as religons overriding messege whatever the sect it love, of yourself and others. those who take life in vain for the sake of religon only seek to strengthen the conviction of god in those who believe.
you fail to understand the point of religon and the part in plays in spirituality. spirituality is not about wether you do or do not beleive in god. but the way you interact with people, the effect you have on them and your surroundings and the life you lead. religon is the guide for some people and helps them furfil their spiritual side, when they maybe didn't know how to, or that one existed.
man kind has always had this side and part of life is putting faith in the intangable. there are so many emotions and situations where faith is required. it is a risk and with every risk there are a chance that it may not work out, but as with any risk the pay offs are worth more than anything.
it stikes me you are willing to believe in anything, to quench the disastain and loss in your soul. i have taken this from what you write, but from your advocation of the atkins research. i remember this diet 'fad' and a few people that tried it. then the research into the long term health risks of following it and the death of its creator and biggest advocate. do some real research into it. you might learn the 'truth'
because the real 'truth' is that we live in the information age, we are exsposed to 'truths' every day, but they are nothing more than ill formed subjective and manipulated opinions. we ahve to filter through the crap and look for the 'truth' that fits within our idea of out own 'personal truth'.
and if this non god bolloxs is your absolute, what you 100% believe in your heart then so be it, but just look at this thread. most people can't even be bothered to reply, what does that tell you ..... ?
i only do so, for i wait to pick up and this looked like a good way to do it.
i leave you with this, you can't see the wind, yet you know it is their, why ?
peace and progress

I noticed in your blog that you said Islam thinks the bible is bullshit, then went on to cite all the cultural atrocities commited by Muslims. I don't know specifically which problems are cultural, and which are dictated from the Qur'an, but just as with evangelicle America the fanatical followers of islam and their beliefs are not necessarily and accurate mirroring of the teachings of Muhammad.
Also, about them thinking the bible is bullshit, I think you're just citing the attitudes of some muslims, and not the original teachings. You can't attack a religious philosophy because people bastardize it, then you're just attacking the new philosophy in an old veil. But the thing is, the bible accorind to original Islam is a sacred text.
Jesus himself is considered a disciple of god, just not the incarnaiton of god. He's still a sacred figure though, Muhammad even got his instructions from the biblical angel Gabriel, telling him that the Bible is a sacred book that has been altered and tweaked from the original message. And really, that's exactly what happened in order to convert Pagan Europe fully to Christianity. It's also why the Muslims are extremely "neurotic" (for lack of a better word) about changing a single work in the Qur'an.
As a fellow adeist, and a sorta-kinda atheist, more power to ya. But you're blog just sounds niave and arrogant saying "prepare to change your beliefs", because you'll NEVER change the beliefs of someone firmly convinced God is up there watching, judging, rewarding, and punishing us. Believe me, I've had countless arguments with countless believers, and when you finally utterly destroy their logic and reasoning, they'll just stop arguing, make some comment about their faith, and stick to their belief because they've been conditioned to believe that if you never shake your faith, it can never become untrue.

for the record, i don't believe in god
i just thought your blog was ill informed. misinterpretated, egocentric and flawed
people will believe what they want to believe and who are you to say any different.
i do see religon as a flawed and out dated concept built on hypocritical idealologis and ultimately brought about to the masses to subdue and control.
but i have a little faith in me that there might be more to life than first meets the eye.
anyway peace and progress
but not too, the truth will free you

your shitty little blog made athiests look bad.
the same way terrorists made muslims look bad.
you made a point of dropping names like saddam hussein when talking about religion...
saddam was a tyrant. a dictator. not a religious leader. islam is a mask for dictators to hide behind.
ask anybody in a turban, "is osama bin laden a muslim?"
they will all say no.
sorry for the rant guys, but i cant fucking stand ignorance
that pissed me off

Whoa Whoa Whoa guys. Why are you being so harsh? This guy went through a lot of trouble. He did after all make a Myspace account. I mean if you can't find spiritual clarity and enlightenment from a guy who links to a Myspace account where he writes a bunch of blogs on a message board where can you?
edit: For the record, I did not read this. I became "too afraid" after about the 10th grammatical error.

The truth:
Atheists are arrogant. They think because they believe that they have all their answers are infallible and that they are above everyone that has faith. And when someone keeps faith they are looked upon as weak and in denial and in other words, as a lesser being when compared to themselves.
Religious Fanatics are ignorant. They think that if there is a God that writings, such as the Bible, are 100% true despite the fact that it was written by man. Holy writings are fairytales written by man to appeal to children so when they get older itā??s hard to separate them from their beliefs.
As for me, I believe there is a God, but I donā??t believe in Church or the Bible. I follow The Satanic Bible which is and more of a religion for atheists because Satanists donā??t believe in God or the Devil despite the name. However I do believe in God and the Devil but see the Satanic teaching to be a better guide to a better life and with a shitload of more truth than the Holy Bible. But thatā??s just me.
I don't believe in religion at all, but even I can say that this is the most incoherent text to disprove of religion that I've seen so far. Give me a break, haha. You expect to change people's lives with that incoherent bullshit? Learn how to write and make sense, and how to actually use logic to prove your points, rather than saying a bunch of incoherent gibberish that hardly proves anything at all, other than your own belief.
God is Imaginary - 50 simple proofs (http://www.godisimaginary.com) is a better resource. If you're going to reinvent the wheel, you might as well make it better. You didn't do that, so why did you even attempt to do so?
