Some Unknown Herb

Another week, another sample. Itâ??s quite dark and fairly compact, yet fluffy and somewhat fuzzy looking. A quarter looked like a half O in a sandwich baggie. It was fairly fresh and probably needs another 2 or 3 days of curing before it reaches itâ??s best flavor. On the outside it smelled very fresh and grassy, but not too overwhelming (I could smell it through the bag when he handed it to me). Now after a day and a half inside the jar itâ??s developing an organic/floral-leathery scent to it and the trichomes are unmistakably amber on the surface. Once cut into, an exotic fermented fruit smell fills your nostrils. It smells like something you could get at the super market. Itâ??s very appealing to your taste buds. The smoke is palatable and mouthwatering as the fruity taste overwhelms your taste buds. Initially itâ??s smooth on the way down but it expands very quickly. If found that if you hold it in too long you end up coughing quite a bit. It was astonishingly resinous in the back of the throat and I could taste long after I finished the bowl (midway through I didnâ??t even want to finish the bowl because I could feel myself becoming intoxicated but I smoked it up so I didnâ??t have to carry that ashy smell around with my bowl). It burned for quite some time. Immediately after the first hit you feel a buzzing sensation in and around your sinuses. After about 10 minutes, I became a bit anxious and it seemed as though I could hear with greater detail. After about 20 minutes I could feel a narcotic body high settling in with mental clarity, an increased feeling of tranquility, and increased appetite. Itâ??s been well over two hours and the body high is still creeping in at wavesâ?¦ my eyes have gotten a bit heavy a times, but itâ??s not to the point you want to close them and sleep. A thought always seems to come in and snap me out of that sensation. Since the brief 5 minute anxiety period in the beginning, Iâ??ve been fairly relaxed and at peace although there are short periods where I still feel some anxiousness. Iâ??ve also noticed that I seem to become lost in thought and a good deal of self-introspection for long (well maybe itâ??s really not that long and Iâ??m just baked) periods timesâ?¦ Iâ??ve been sitting in silence (not even realizing it) for nearly 45 minutes now.

Itâ??s been quite a ride so far and I have a feeling itâ??s not over yetâ?¦

Another interesting thing, I smoked a small cigarillo yesterday with two friends (it was way too much and I was still kind of high from earlierâ?¦ I like to describe my smokes right after I blaze a bowl on a clear head so I decided to wait to write up a description) and I was out of it from 6:30pm until I fell asleep at 12 amâ?¦ I had incredibly pleasant dreams last night though!

Iâ??m not so sure this would be a good group smoke. I think Iâ??d only want to smoke this with close friends and relatives because I would assume the self introspection could make someone (especially if theyâ??re not comfortable with themselves) very awkward in a social situation. I really wouldnâ??t recommended driving on this either.

I showed the baseball picture because I got it well before I started smoking, but maybe it was a sign of things to come having the "420" Fenway distance in the background? :wtf:

I have no idea what strain this could be... any ideas based on my description?

Well it's been curing well. The taste of the smoke has drastically changed. It tastes like a fruity/spicey (cinnamon maybe? I still can't put my finger on it) throat lonzenge on the tounge during the inhale. The exhale tastes like pure hashish with a slight woody aftertaste. I still haven't been able to develope a tolerance to it yet.


Two days ago I mixed it with a bowl of my previous pick-up (the picture below). There was about .1-.2 of eachâ?¦ just enough to fill my spoon. I had roughly 9-11 hits from the pipe over a period of 10-15 minutes. The taste was indescribable (surprisingly earthy, sweet, exotically fruity, hashy, and maybe spicey??? I canâ??t quite put my finger on itâ?¦) and smooth on the inhale but expanded fairly quickly. At one point, I found myself drooling while coughing. I could taste the resin well after I was done smoking. It produced an earthy/hashy/incense/animalish and meaty aromaâ?¦ I think (too many fragrances to pinpoint with clarity). After the first hit I began to buzz, a few minutes later my mind began to rise. When I walked back to my house my pulse began racing. I sat down for about 15 minutes but I couldnâ??t relax, I felt like I needed to get up and do somethingâ?¦ that lasted for about 5-10 minutes when a warm fuzzy feeling began to take over my bodyâ?¦ I found my self wide awake yet my body was heavily sedated. At times I caught myself zoning out to the baseball game not even contemplating what was happeningâ?¦ my thoughts were on a completely different wave length. After about 40 minutes my mind was getting higher, sounds were becoming extremely vivid, and my body felt weightless. Thoughts were racing through my head. I felt confident yet reserved enough to thoroughly process my thoughts. I had an intense 15-20 minute mind and body high about an hour and 35 minutes after the smokeâ?¦ it was borderline trippy and awkward... It felt like it was the first time Iâ??ve smoked in a month. It calmed down into a relaxing yet awake mind high/body stone combo. There were times when I was completely spaced out and lost in thought. When it was all said and done I found myself wondering where the time had gone. As high/stoned as I was, I found it interesting that I didn't become paranoid during the ride.


If it's nice and sunny tomorrow, I'll try to get some good shots of it outside. The trichome formation on the inside of the nuggets is beautiful. The inside is covered with yellow crystals. Until then, keep smokin'.

It's definitely indoor. I bought in bulk this time so it was relatively inexpensive @ $16 and change a gram. Usually it's $20 for me, but he usually sells it for $25 a g, $70 1/8th. By the time it was all said and done, I ended up smoking three grams for $10.


Nice shit as always. Looks like some "kush" haha. It actually has a lot of characteristics of the Kushy Kush I got 2 weeks ago.

I kind of thought it might be a kush too, but I didn't think kushes tasted hashy... can anyone confirm if they do or don't?

It was beautiful out today so I decided to take a few more pics of the largest nugget. As you can see, I have been picking at it for a few days. In picture one, you can see the entire nugget in focus. Look at the color of some of the leaves. They're almost a dark green/violet... maybe even turning black? Could this be "black spice"? I don't really know. In picture two, I thought the crystal formation where I pulled the bud apart (just above the out of focus portion on the bottom right hand side where the flower meets the stem) looked awesome. You can look inside of it and see the individual trichome heads.

It was sticky and the larger buds weighed more than I thought they would. Also, the bags looked a lot bigger than they were... I think I mentioned that.

I kind of thought it might be a kush too, but I didn't think kushes tasted hashy... can anyone confirm if they do or don't? Sometimes Kush can taste somewhat hashy, or maybe even be harsh due to the strong tasting smoke. And you give great bud descriptions man.
