Hey fellow 'heads. I was just wondering if any of you ever feel.. guilty, or.. bad, or like it's a problem for you to smoke? I've been smoking for 4 years ("ironically" the same amount of years i've been at college)

I mean I am a pretty laidback guy, but when I run out of weed and know I won't be smoking again for some time, I get kind of tense. Even if I'm not smoking at the time, just having a baggy of trees makes me happier.

I dunno, what do you guys think.

I used to have the same problem about the tenseness, I used to get it really bad.

sadly I know it sounds redundant and is way easier to say than to do, but if you wanna get rid of the feeling, you need to take a month or more break away from weed and when you go back you need to not let it "grab" you like it did.

when you actually do this and go back you will understand why weed is not considered physically addictive because you will know what happens when you get psychologically addictive (youre under it right now man I was with u just a few months ago tho.)

If you can understand the steps a person takes to become psychologically addicted then it is so unbelievably easy to stop youself from taking them. THAT is the time when you have MATURED into a REALISTIC and RESPONSIBLE ganja toker.

i think the best way to smoke weed is to have a phase in your life where you smoke way too much, do nothing, and be a typical pothead. then, you realize what you are doing to yourself, you take a long break from weed, and then you come back to it adifferent person. imo it is the best way to guarentee you can smoke it all your life without it hindering the things that are really important (not weed, sry.)

about being guilty, if weed is making you guilty, then don't do it. weed is not stuffing itself down your throat, you have to do all that yourself, so why would you wanna partake in something that makes u feel like shit when you do it? if you are feeling guilty because you are smoking weed in place of something you probably SHOULD be doing, then that is a good thing. it's your conscience telling you not to smoke in place of outside life/

also i think if you take a break and come back the guiltiness will be gone because you wont be smoking detrimentally and instead youll be smoking for extracurricular enjoyment

Pixel knows where it's at. I did the same thing - smoked a bowl a day for a couple months, went chronic for a few weeks and then ran out of weed. I was tense for maybe five days, then after that I felt just awesome. Once you've been sober for a while you remember how great it feels, and you can choose to be a responsible smoker, or just go back on a weed honeymoon. Either way sounds good to me. :D I'm on a month-long break now because of my new tongue piercing, but when that heals in another two or three weeks I'll probably spend an entire week stoned before levelling off (coincidentally that's also the first week in my new apartment).

The only times I have ever felt guilty about smoking is when someone is ragging on me like I'm irresponsible about my habit. I'm not - in fact, I'm at a rather good place right now - but that doesn't stop me from feeling bad that I'm letting down a friend or family member. People need to realize that just because you toke, it doesn't make you a worse person for it.
