First time I feel in love.

During the holidays I went to a campsite right by St malo,in France.

The first night I got there I decided that id go out and attempt to meet some people so that I wouldn't bore my brains out.
I met a 14yr old dutch kid who introduced me to his sister who is 18, I asked her for a cigarette and she asked me my age(14).

The next day i hanged out with her and got to meet her and here little brother a little brother a little better.
The third night we hanged out till 3 in the morning and i started to really like her but we weren't going out our anything.She was extremely pretty and kind,the sad thing was she was leaving in ONE DAY.

the last night I got a lot of beer and got very drunk and realised that i was in love with her i attempted to kiss her and got refused.

Basically i'm highly in love with someone who lives in holland and doesn't love me.It's been 3 dayq since she left and i still feel like shit! I think about her all the time and promised myself to go and see her once i'm 18 .

My question is basically:For how long will i feel like shit?
i've never felt this way in my life.

How can you be sure its love man? I believe love is something that grows and you have to know someone (inside out, or at least pretty well) before you can say that you have those kind of feelings for a person.

What your feeling is most likely infatuation, lust.. you are attracted to her because of her looks and good personality, but would you do anything for her? would you kill for her? would you die for her? would you do absolutely anything in the world to make her happy? Ask yourself those questions because I dont know the answer but i doubt it.

Well when i was young around your age i've been in this position before where i seriously thought i was in love after having a little holiday romance, because at that time in your life its a good memory and really special to you, but trust me you will get over it in a few months and when you get older you will look back on this and realise it was just puppy love.

When you get older you'll realise that in love, the "feeling of shit" you have now is NOTHING, it can be a million times worse, but on the flip side the good feelings will be better aswell.

Just dont worry about it mate you will get over her ok. :)

I don't believe you have to know somebody inside out to love them.Love is not something you ask for it just happens,you have no choice.
I can't stop thinking about her constantly,I try to distract my brain with other things but it doesn't work.

The first day she left i cried all day and was unable to have any fun whatsoever and felt like throwing up at times.

I agree with you,Love can probably be a lot more intense then in this case but that doesn't hide the fact that it's love.

Look bro, I'm in a similar situation like you. I had a crush on an intern, a beautiful petite French girl. For the longest time I didn't know she felt the same for me. I asked her out. These last few days has been heaven for me, we are very much in love.

However, you gotta look at the reality. You are continents away. The best you can do is remain in contact with her. If it works out, it works out. But don't be disappointed if it doesn't. Time does some strange things. Memories start to fade.

I'm hoping for the best. I'm going to visit her at some point, but if she ends up finding someone else, I'm not going to be upset. She's the coolest chick I ever met. She saw things in me I never saw in myself. Just use the experience, and just live man.

When I was younger in middle school right around your age, I had a huge crush on this girl , and we both liked the same band. She was a jerk, but I couldn't stop obsessing over her for several years.

Whether it's that kind of crush or something smaller, it will defenitely pass. That fact that she was foreigner probably was very diferent and mysterious and attractive to you, just like all foreign women are to men.

Here is my personal advice. Childhood and youth are vanity. If you get involved with women now, you'll be even worse than if you wait. Girls your age are not ready for a man and you're too young to do anything long term. Not only that, but you have to really be patient and look long and hard to find someone with the kind of integrity that's right to be around. So do you just want a shallow short term relationship, or an immature little girl to break your heart and not take you seriously?

Now is the time for you to seek your purpose in life, to examine your morals, to search out for God if he exists, to build integrity and maturity and keep quiet stay out of trouble and study. Maybe you think that now is the time for you to enjoy life because you're young, but it's really the opposite. Your enjoyment, fulfillment, success in life depends upon the foundation you build now when you're young. That includes everything, not just education to get a good job.

As a last note, I believe that God is the best friend you could ever have, and you don't have to wait. And you don't have to go to Holland to be with him. If God exists, nothing is more important to seek out than him.

And don't smoke too much weed if any because your growing kid. Let your mind and body grow. It's no joke.

I was just re-reading your orginal post and It dawned on me from what you said that you had this realization of love as you call it, when you were DRUNK .

I can only imagine how strong feelings your having, or have had, but please don't scar yourself. Avoid the mental anguish and let it go.
