Actually, she's not really like her ex-husband. He really did her wrong. I thought she was pretty cool, she did that talk show with Jim J. (Remember Prince Valium from Spaceballs?), and her son started a churhc I think in the ATL area catering to alternative-culture types.. non-judgemental, real cool stuff. I'm glad she's gone, but only because I think she was suffering and she's in a better place now. (Yes, I'm a Bible-believing Christian with high moral standards. I've just never read anything that says it's wrong to use intoxicants.)

For some reason, and don't ask me why, but I caught her on some vh1 reality show a while back...hearing that she passed is bad news...

While I didn't agree with her life decisions at all, I still respected how she carried herself. But that is fucked up how back in the day she and her preacher husband scammed people out of their money. :wtf:

As mean as this is to say, it's another brainwashed individual gone. I don't want to offend anyone here, so just ignore me.

I think she didn't actually know what was going on with her husband... after all, he WAS buying hookers and everything else for years before she knew. I remember the old PTL pretty well. Jim Bakker was an extremely slick manipulator, he could sell a grower schwag for $150/quarter. I think she was just basically hung out to dry just the same as everyone who bought shares in Heritage USA.

American compassion still alive and well.

From mascara to 'tits', what a lovely compassionate race you all are. A women , who probably did more than you'll ever do in your life, dies, and all her fellow Americans can do is laugh and mock.
Could you all remeber for just a moment she was a wife and mother. Some of you MAY have mothers( not so sure), and lets hope that when your mothers time comes to pass people wont remark on her appearance but rather on her achievements as a mother and as a human being.Or do you all come from a super-race where when dying you all look like nymphs?

This women did a lot for the gay community at the Beginging of the AIds crisis.Make-up mascara, whatever .

Proud nation .

Mind you I forgot this is also the nation who left the People of New Orleans to wither away.......maybe the folks Of Nawlins werent so pretty either eh?

I loved her on the Surreal Life. I thought she was fun and she came across as real and sweet

What an awful way to go, poor lady

I see nothing at all to admire about this woman. Her being a mother means absolutely nothing. Animals, bugs and fish have offspring, also.

She was a liar and swindler, that's all.

Edit: and a pig.

It's never fun when someone dies, but myself I don't think about how awful it is or feel bad about it, especially when it's someone I don't even know. When someone close to you goes, of course you feel bad, but if I spent my time feeling bad everytime someone else died, I would be a miserable, depressed person. :p

People die. We all know this and we know that no one lives forever.

It's a shame, but after this post, it's probably something I won't even think about.

I feel more for soldiers dying for a never ending cause, or people who are dying of illnesses who are suffering to their last breath, or the 4000 children that die per hour from no food while we throw away our leftovers. That's something to feel sad about.

a woman who was considered a joke for most of her life has died and, though i don't consider it a cause for celebration, i'm not about to get all choked up about it. her fervent theatrics made her a laughingstock while she was alive and death does not automatically turn a fool into a saint. the fact that she will be remembered at all is more than even the most righteous of us can expect when we die.

I don't know a lot about her. But the death of anyone isn't something I celebrate or feel happy about. She had a family and people who love her, so I'm sad for them.

But I did hear that she worked a lot with gays and others and was generally pretty accepting of them. Not like her husband. I don't know the entire truth behind these stories so I tend to take them with a grain of salt.

The only other thing I can say is: people die. It's part of life and we're all going to face it some day.

"They attributed much of their success to decisions early on to accept all denominations and to refuse no one regardless of race, creed, sexual orientation, or criminal record." - Jim Bakker - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Bakker)

Jim Bakker loved everyone if they had money. He also loved 21-year-old secretaries who were drugged up. To everyone who think she was a swindling con-artist do you think Tammy Faye participated in the Jessica Hahn scandal too? Jim was a leech on society, Tammy was just too optimistic and naive to see through his facade. KingsBlend420 is right that she was brainwashed.
