Hey everyone, if you are in North Texas I just want to give you a heads up, there is a NORML benefit concert at UR MOMS. It will be Jazz/Fusion. UR MOMs is locate on U.S. 380 in Denton. Just take I-35 to 380 and go EAST until you see Fulton Street and take a LEFT at Fulton. There will be a shopping center with a Kroger Grocery Store, El Matador Mexican Restaurant (DELICIOUS food BTW, great choice for dinner tonight!), and a Movie Tavern theatre off to the left. UR MOMS is next to the theatre. Coming from McKinney, take U.S. 380 WEST and take a RIGHT at FULTON. If you miss FRY STREET :sadcrying: this is the new go-to venue in Denton. If you can't make it tonight there is another coming up August 10th. Cover will be $5 21+, $7 18-20, FREE for NORML members, so the gas will probably be the most expensive thing!

WHOOO! I just got back and boy, was it ever a load of fun!! I donated $5 to get in even though I was a member, then later I donated another $35.00 and I got the NEVER Get BUSTED Again DVD, a pretty sweet color-changing pipe, smokes really smooth (I put Bali Shag in it and it was actually a decent smoke till it was cached), and a nice glass alligator clip. The first band was basically a jazz ensemble, a few saxes, a trombone or two, bass guitar and drums, then there was a band with the frontman in long greasy dreds and they sang some stoney rock music. It was sponsored by DFW NORML and UNT NORML, a good time was had by all, and the next one is Aug. 10th for all us who can't make it south for Willie's concert in Austin. On the 10th it will be Reggae Madness with Jah Roots, Subrosa Union, Nine Dollar Word, and Kulcha Far I. Hope to see you there, they set up tables around 8:00, the music started about 9:30.
PEACE,
JD
