Hey guys. I was trippin' out looking at my digital camera so I decided to take some pictures of my guitar that I built a few months ago. Comments are welcome.
PS, anybody here play guitar? Or have any interest in playing?

I got an acoustic Fender last year for christmas, so I've been trying to learn. No luck yet. I can play "Mary had a little lamb", but that's about it:D
I would love to be able to play it, but it really is difficult to pick up:jointsmile:

Nice. I don't play or build guitars, but I'm trained as a luthier (violins specifically) and appreciate a nice build! Nice inlay on the neck.

Based on a Fender Stratocaster, but with a few of my own touches...Neck radius, fret height, headstock shape, electronic setup.

I have a 70's style Fender Stratocaster, and an Ibanez Iceman IC300 with EMGs, which has been my choice guitar lately.

Thats a great guitar you built there. I play guitar also. In my D+T class in school some guy made a guitar for his project, it was good but I think his dad did a lot of it.

Did you make that guitar exclusively by yourself?

I have been building this one for a while. I did all the cutouts myself. I want to get it painted white with a heavy pearlescent treatment like you see on really hot motorcycles!! it will look so good with all the black hardware.

Oh man lots of good stuff on this thread. I myself own a Schecter C-1 EA Semi Hollow and it's far and away the best guitar I've ever played. I've always wanted to build my own guitar, I feel like it'd bring be closer to my playing and maybe even help my skills improve. The only problem I have with my guit is that it's semi hollow, when I really want a fully hollow guitar, much the same as the custom ones built by Paul Languadoc for Trey in Phish. I want that LIQUID sound dude, if you know what I mean. I want those notes to fuckin just flow like water over stone.

awesome stuff here, i've been playing guitar for about 12 years now. Been planning on building my own tele with a b-bender in it for the last month or so, Just gotta get my finances in order before i start making purchases. here's some pics of my current gear : Marshall JCM 2200, Fender 50th anniversary fat strat, Seagull Acoustic, Ibanez AG75 hollow body.

use to be, i've since removed the pick up and sold it along with the pedal. I was having tracking problems, plus i was in need of some cash so i got rid of it a few years back. I like the way it looks without the pick up though. I've been thinking of building a guitar though and i want a tele with a b-bender system installed. I'm thinking maybe i could put a midi pickup inside the guitar. It'll be a beast, haha.

In my day (60s- 70s) I had many nice axes. Many teles and a few other Fenders, some Gibsons, a Vox, a Guild. Fender Princton Rev, Deluxe Rev and a Twin Rev with EV SROs.

I now have a Squire strat (I'm going to have to ditch it for a tele), which is fine for the money and a ss Fender amp Frontman Rev 25. I love seeing the stuff you all have posted! :rastasmoke:
