So yeah at work today we got robbed and didnt even know it was going on.

The truck was parked out back and they were loading and unloading. The back door was left open cause they were not going to be gone long.I go back there to get the serial number off of the tv so I could make a price tag for it. I get the number go back into my office and start to make the price tag. I then realize that I have to go back and look at the tv condition so I know what to price it at. I go back to look at it and its gone!!

So we freak out and then call the cops after running in circles outside.

Long story short the cops take like 20 mins to get their. Another employee walks out back and sees 2 guys getting the TV out of the bushes. He yells at them and then starts chasing them. One guy on foot the other is on a bicycle. They drop the TV and take off. By the way the TV was a 42 inch plasma. We call the cops again and tell them that the guys just ran up into the next parking lot and were headed to the street. They catch one but not the other.

But here is where is gets messed up. They cant charge him with anything because no one seen them take the TV out of the back of the store. They were only seen getting it out of the bushes. :wtf:

These guys have balls. The just walked up into the back of the store and took a 42 inch TV which they were going to transport on a 10 speed. :wtf3:

what did you expect? if you leave the van doors open with a 42" plasma inside, it was an invite for it to be stolen.it's the world we live in, if it's not nailed down it will be stolen.

They came in the store and took it off the shelf in our back room. It wasnt in the back of the truck. We never leave electronics in the back of the trucks. If anything is left in them its furniture.

No problem weedmaster. We always leave the back door open after we load up the truck cause we go in and get paper work and things like that. But its never for more than 5 mins or so. I kinda get the feeling that they watched us for a few days.

I just would have never thought someone would come in the back door and start packing things off. I mean the back room is a high traffic area during the day. Were always going back there to look for something, smoke, or use the bathroom.

I was kinda creeped out because I close the store a lot by myself and it will be 9 or later at night and its just me. Tonight someone walked past the door twice and peered in I started to get scared.

i know of people who have stolen washing machines, sofas, rolls of carpet you name it they have stolen it from backs of shops because the workers seem to think they are too big to be stolen, but they pull up in a stolen vehicle and noone gives them a second glance, it only takes seconds. sorry to hear it has made you edgey, good excuse to have an extra toke to chill, take care dro.

Someone stole a golf cart form my workplace about a year ago..

I work in a metal/fab shop so me and my coworkers are use to seeing people walking back and forth looking through or scrap bins..

Anyways the golf cart was parked right next to the office and not one of us seen who took off with it or even notice it missing till it was too late...

Yeah we all got yelled at by the boss talk about pissed whooo..

I would think that the police could at least charge him with possession of stolen merchandise.

Yes in the stores backroom. Nope. No camera's anywhere in the store, which I feel is unsafe. Lots of people case places before they rob them. I need to complain about this.

If I were you I'd try to arrange something so that you arent closing by yourself anymore. At the very least you should try calling someone while you're walking to your car. Better safe than sorry
