Computer Grow Box

Have any of you guys seen this before?

im thinking about building one myself because i dont want to pay 650$.

If any of u guys built something like this please post pics and give me tips. i want to build one.

And not that I'm getting my feathers ruffled, but I happen to think mine is also clean. The plants are lifted up, by whatever I could find that would fit, to get close to the lights.

One thing they don't point out is the blasting light that will come out.
As for the exterior of my case, I was going for the them of my office, which is a Computer repair shop, a brand new case would stick out like a sore thumb.

expensive junk!! you could raise your bed and build a fair sized growroom underneath it for same price and be churning out more product. Orite, you couldn't hide the fact there is only 12inches between ur matress and ceiling but it could work

You can pick up all the supplies at a combination of stores.
PC case will be at whatever computer shop you go to. If you feel squimish about chopping up a new case, look for a used computer store. You will also be able to find the PC fans at either one of those. If you don't want to use a PC power supply you can use a cell phone charger type of power supply and splice it straight to your fans.

The hardware I used, read the list in my sig PC link, can be found at Home Depot, Lowes, Ace, any hardware shop.

Just FYI, the same work goes into making a "good" pc grow case as a grow cabinet or closet. You'll have to take into consideration the intake air, exhaust air, temp monitoring (get a remote read therm from a pet store), lighting and light proofing. You don't have to use the same number of bulbs I use, you can use less and still get decent results. Some people even use 70 watt HPS and CFL combos. Hell, I think in the future I'm going with my 150 cool tubed HPS, the physical light fixture foot print is the same as the 5 CFLs I have in there, and I know it runs cooler than them with the tube on it.

Just ask when you need help or advise, I've done the reading and figuring so I think I have a decent grasp on this concept.

This should help with ideas and different configurations other people are using.

Also, you'll need a drill for the rivets in the PC case, there is nothing easier and faster to get them out. And a Dremel if you can.

Can we get some progress pics on stealth grow boxes? Even though I have an opinion of 'expensive junk' it would still be nice to see how a grow develops in that kinda environment...

I'm not sure anyone here actually owns one of those store bought "stealth grow boxes".
There is at least one other person around that has done a custom made PC case grow and I'm in the middle of the same.
