I know some of you have heard this theory. It's wacky, but, it makes perfect sense. Look at human evolution. We can activate our cannabinoid receptors (which just happen to be one of the most prevalent in our nervous system), but, only at low levels. Meanwhile, a plant, that grows just like us (sort of), can activate them, instantly. It intoxicates us, but unlike any other intoxicant.
Supposedly, cannabinoid receptors evolved within us and connect us to a unique, foreign object. There is no possible way for us to have sex with a plant in order to gain it's genetic traits.
To cut the story short, I say that, either, an alien race planted marijuana here, on Earth, or, a time traveler went back far enough in time so we can evolve cannabinoids into our bodies. He knew of the full potential of cannabinoids. Let's call him God.

The alien theroy is more prevolent. I think they showed up just before the egyptians, and taught us about building, and agriculture on a grand scale. So we (the human race) could sustain larger populations. They could have easly brought cannabis plants, or seeds with them. there are other chemicals that are only found in 2 places on earth in our bodys, and in the plants that make them. shroomies, a chemical called dmt, lsa, and mdma. Mabey these plants and compounds were a way to comunicate with these beings through the astroplanes. i don't know, i'm not a scientist, nor am i a theology expert, BUT if a being came from the sky, gave my family information to live better, and flew away...... i might call them god.

I love deep thoughts. Yours is interesting too. Question: are cannabinoid receptors sensitive to any other chemicals? It just doesn't seem to me that one of the most common receptors in the nervous system, as you say, would simply be for getting high. Or that our body would evolve and maintain these cells just to get high from one kind of plant. Not debating you. Just curious.

When you have a head trauma, and your brain is bleeding, your hippocampus releases 26x (from what I've read) the amount of endogenous cannabinoids in order to stop the bleeding.

And from what I've learned, the only things that can activate those receptors are a few chemicals that we create and Pot. :smokebong::bigsmoke:

maybe we are the aliens. ever thought of that?
maybe we just forgot our roots.
you dont remember anything from when you were a newborn.

It's called science. Science learns and adapts to what it has already created. Sorry but God is a manmade idea used to control other humans. Science doesn't give a shit what you do.
Wouldn't you RATHER believe in Science...
Just my thoughts. I wouldn't expect anyone to believe in such a crazy idea...:D

Truthfully, I think that God is a supernatural being who created the rock in the next galaxy, as well as Pot.

Without doing any research whatsoever, I would assume that any receptors in our brains are designed to receive chemicals that are made in our brains. It's a closed loop system, unless you count nutrients and air, which are both heavily filtered before they can be used. The fact that cannabis 'fits' these same receptors just means that... fat chicks can squeeze into smaller jeans. Or God meant for us to get high, to mix up our brains enough to make us more interesting and unpredictable.
But since by most definitions, God is omnipotent, there is no such thing as unpredictable. There is no such thing as a random number, for example. Any computer uses an algorithmic pattern based on the date, time, etc, and processed by whatever forms of arithmetic (date x 12 divided by the number of users online in China plus 1) to acheive a "random" number, which seems to be random to the end user, but is not.
We are not random either. We're programmed and predictable, based on various factors, most if not all based on survival and procreation. Unless being stoned makes you more likely to get laid or not do something that gets you killed that you otherwise *would* do - ie - walking to the store for ding dongs and milk late at night in a bad neighborhood - it makes no sense that weed is something that has been programmed into us that wouldn't actually kill us, or at the least make us not get laid.
Doesn't stop me though.

Yeah, but cannabinoid receptors are designed to receive and send. It will regulate the receptors beating too fast because of cocaine.
