Again! Hair---really worried but trust ya

Just joined trying to find info. Old gal 52, 5'5, 135lbs. Never have bought, but boyfriend partakes smoke everyday, I join him on weekends...not a lot becasue I cough to damn bad...getting ready to get laid off, single parent 2 kids...found dream job, wait and finally got call for interveiw...emailed me directions and low and behold w/them a notice that at interveiw I will be required to authorize a background check and a hair test! ANYTHING..I will listen to anything, thought of having my hairped totally strip then colored...chlorox bleach wash...anything...the shampoos on line all "promise" the same things...do any really at least help? What would you do? Not apply? Apply with a story? Refuse until an offer is made? I have been out of the job market for 25 years, this is all new...thanks....I am holding my breath! Only weed use nothing else, do they always say no thanks if any positive?

take the interview, if you fail the test regardless of what you do, well too bad. now, this is what i did. i took one a couple of years ago and before that i was a regular smoker (i.e. everyday smoker), but stopped for about a month and a couple of weeks at the most. for mine, i had to go to a lab so that helped me pushed it a bit... i trimmed my hair, but not that much, like #6 in one of those machines, still they could use hair from your arm pits or wherever. i shampooed my hair a couple of times every day, exercised and drank a bunch a bunch of water, none of which i read helped for a hair test, but the shampoo part. the morning before the test, i took a shampoo (kit of three), that contained some weird ass looking green aloe type of thing and i passed. think about the testing methodology. you have to have more than a X% to be determined to be using drugs (statistically significant??) so i guess the 3 month you are supposed to be clean were too much for me, or the shampoos did work. do not know. best of luck, and take the interview, and then worry about not passing. do not tell them a story; that does not sound very bright. if they cannot take you cause you do not pass, fine, but don't tell them you went to a ziggy marley concert and people around you were puffing...later...

Some companies dont immediately say no, but those are usually few and far between. I would not count on that being the case here, and just assume that a failed test means they dont hire, and if for some reason they work the other way, then you will at least be pleasantly surprised.

Zydot shampoo, and bleach your hair then redye it so no one knows.

having same problems. i think zydot was a 3 part shampoo? this lady probably isnt even partaking in this forum anymore, but i am interested to see what she did.
By the time i take my test it will be 3 weeks of no smoking. and thats all. because yes i smoke, no "i never ever smoke except this one time last week". oh no no no. i smoke.

So here fakeboobs recommends Zydot, bleach, dye. not bleach, bleach, dye, zydot?

i can see how zydot 1st makes sence.
but how about bleach, bleach, zydote, dye? that kind of sounds good to me......

When I wrote that post I didn't mean use those things in that order. To answer your question about hair bleach you posted in the other thread, you have to get it at a beauty supply store. The people working there will help you.
