Alright so basically I got a job a little bit ago. Started a few days ago. 7.50 an hour, and I get my first paycheck some-what soon. It will be $300. This is a lot more money than I ussually have. And I really dunno what to spend it on. I don't have to buy weed anymore since I get it medically and like all meds, my parents buy it for me. And I really just don't know what to spend 300$ on. I'm thinking about saving it but I dunno. Any suggestions on what to buy? I don't really spend money on anything besides weed, food, and bus or gas money, but I got a bus pass now, and with my paycheck I dont have to worry about food. Anyways I keep rambling, but i'm pretty excited to have a steady cashflow now. So WHAT SHOULD I BUY?

If you are like me then you could geek out by buying some dvd's.. having some buddies / girls over and enjoying the spoils of your labor. Or you could go the opposite way and spend it on say an xbox 360 and games etc.

Well other than the fact that I must have been mentaly retarded when I made this thread since I dont remember making it and my speech seems more horrible than normal....I am trying to narrow down what I want to buy and I want you guys to help me find it online. I need new speakers for my room or computer, maybe something surround sound, idk yet. Something in the 200-300$ price range, good quality. Also I want to buy a bass guitar and amp, in total I want to spend 200-300$ here too. And also some new painting supplies, paint,canvas's,etc....looking to spend 50-150$ at most on that. Also I need a good music editing program....and why don't you add some Albums or Artist whos music I should download once I set up my computer this weekend. Yeah I would appreciate this cannabis.com....i'm sure someone is bored enough(or nice enough) to help.

u can get some music editing programs online...unless you're not a pirate...and dont like to steal
but other than that....get the bass guitar and amp first!!!
I think you'll be happy with that choice

I've used Fruity Loops, I'd say it's a good place to start learning the basics of music programs and stuff. I'm no expert but if you ever want help my AIM name should be linked in my profile here.

How does this Amazon.com: Yamaha ERB070 Bass Guitar Package: Audio & Video (http://www.amazon.com/Yamaha-ERB070-Bass-Guitar-Package/dp/B0002AGMCS/ref=pd_bbs_2/105-1194907-0355656?ie=UTF8&s=audio-video&qid=1185588415&sr=1-2) (might just buy it from a local music store) sound for a newb like me? Also I was thinking about getting Amazon.com: Reviews for Yamaha NS-SP1600 5.1-Channel Surround Speaker System (Black): Electronics (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/customer-reviews/B00097I5W4/sr=1-25/qid=1185592789/ref=cm_cr_dp_all_recent/105-1194907-0355656?ie=UTF8&n=1065836&qid=1185592789&sr=1-25#customerReviews) for my room(but probably just buying them from best buy or something) and probably a cheap 22" plasma from Costco, which should be the end of what I plan on buying (besides posters and miscallaneous drugs). Sound like good shit to waste my summer job money on? Also if anyone who has knowledge about TV's or speakers could reccomend me something not too fancy, but still decent quality and a good price, it'd be appreciated.

You open a savings account and save as much as you can because there will come the day when you will LOVE to have the money for a downpayment on a house of your own.
The more you save and put out, the less your mortage will be and you will have a great line of credit.
LOOK AHEAD and see what's right down the road.
Play, buy what you need, but save save save. You will be a happy man one day with this advice. Of this I can promise.

I'd save it dude, never know when you'll need it.
I'd save at least a 100, belive me, I was the exact same way when I first started working. Having all that extra money was amazing, but it'll pay off to save some man

I agree with NoLimit, sit on at least $100. You can get 1-$50 dollar bill & 50-$1 bills. Put a rubberband around the wad of cash(the $50 bill on the outside of the cash wad, of course)
Keep it in your pocket, it promotes the feeling of security & your prepared for the unexpected (bond$, flat tire, etc.)

My advice. Buy lots of guitars. Then you can sell most of them when you lose your job, just like me!

You'll soon find out that 7.50 ain't shit and won't get you what you want/need.

Well I am actually going with just buying a bass(which I already got), a new LCD LG flatscreen monitor, and some logitech surround sound speakers. I got a new computer already(dad let me have his old G5tower mac) and with what I bought(at some good prices) and I realized I will be making more money this summer(plus this place is gonna keep me throughout the year but with fewer hours) i'm gonna be putting $400 in the bank, and buy a safe and some other cheap stuff, and just keep the rest of the cash so I have it. And I guess having a house would be nice, but shit i'm content with my single room.....i'm low matinence and got this job mostly so I could pay for all my shit while living in my parents house. And yeah .....7.50 aint much but its minimum wage here, and for what I do it's good pay to me. Next year its being raised to 8$ though. And yeah I got a med recc here in california.
