Yeah so first off my dad came in and started talking about weed and then asked me if I had ever done it and I said yes. And he started talking about how he knew sometimes and all. But anyways we went into a whole conversation about it and I basically convinced him its alright to do every now and then. He just told me I need to set my priorities straight and make sure that I realize the problems with the world today.
I also found out some interesting things that I would never expect from him as he owns a very large american manufacturing company and is always strict and industrious.
My father was a crack and heroin addict.
Dropped LSD and taken ecstasy.
He's been arrested 10 times. (One of which is for when his father found out he smoked weed and brought him to the sheriff)
And he has smoked weed in the last month.... hahaha :rasta:

gettin caught is the best thing that ever happened to me. the more you get caught the more your parents come to terms about it.

That is the truth. My moms a little crazy though, but it doesn't matter.
I told my dad I'll continue to do it as long as I'm responsible and he said as long as you don't do it in my house, I won't say much.
Funny thing is, my dad is normally screaming with fists flying if a little thing such as picking something up and throwing it away isn't done within minutes of asking.

do you actually think that is uncommon? i work in the restaurant business over summers and i know more than two dozen ppl who are around that age living with their parents.. .some ppl literally cant afford to survive out on their own with minimum wage jobs.
dont take this the wrong way but i have a good feeling u are still in high school and you live in a very middle class, upstanding neighborhood. i myself come from the same background. let me tell u tho, when you get out htere and start working, you learn that america is a very very very very different place than the america you thought you grew up in.

not taken the wrong way. yes i am in high school. and you could say middle class. but not really an upstanding neighborhood. i dont think i know how the world is cuz i dont but i do have have money saved up from working and i am taking higher-level classes trying to improve my chances of getting into a better college and making something of my life. i do not believe i will be living with my parents by the time i turn 19 or 20.
no offence to the people still with their parents i just didnt realize it was that common... do you have plans to move out soon? or are you there to help them? just wondering.

i'm guessing that youre not talkin to me in the end of that, but if you are, i am not with them anymore, i am at a house with ppl in the town that my college is in, workin at university for the summer. i am 22 and if i didnt have this job, i probably would spend the summer at home, because i will be movin southwest as soon as i get my degree
but i cant say i know the world either, i am just getting out there, but ever since working in the restaurant business i have met tonnnns of people BARELY getting by and it's such a cliche, but there is so fcking much i used to just take for granted. there are gigantic gaps between the lower, working, labor class and the middle class office workers that, when you are still livin at home going to high school every day, you would have know way of knowing. u will get there my good friend
