How long does weed keep?

So I got a bag of weed a few weeks ago, and I have a few grammes left, but I'm off on holiday and I want to save it up for when I get back in a month or so. How long does weed keep? I've got it in a little sealed plastic bag in a cool dark dry place. Will it lose its potency? And if I were to get some hash in the future, how long would that keep?

(And yeah, I know I should probably just have it now, but hey, I'll need something for those post holiday blues!)

weed stays fine with age. maybe even gets better with age imo. i just recently was dry but then i remembered i had this shake from about a year ago in my closet. well i smoked it not expecting to get high at all and i got ripped as fuck. just from one waterfall hit too.

Weed improves with age in my opinion. I've lost joints for weeks and when I found them, they got me blitzed. Much more so than when I first got the sac.

yeah with age its gets better like a fine wine, if you look at it, it should be more crystaly, atleast mine becomes that way, i lost 1/8 about a month ago, found it under my bed and it was pure crystaly goodness.

I would put it in a glass jar. I'm not saying there is holes in your plastic bag but the longer cannabinoids are exposed to air the more they degrade into non-psychoactive cannabinoids such as CBN and such with only mild effects. So just to be sure that it's not happening I'd just get some type of air-tight jar or bottle to keep it in rather than a plastic bag. I used to HATE what happened to my weed after a few weeks in the bag..

Make sure you keep it in an air tight bag, or wrap it in cling film, then in a bag, in a cool dry place. It will be fine, don't even worry about it.

if you can hermetically seal it and freeze it, it will last at least 6 years, maybe more

i saw it in a documentary last night, In Pot We Trust about medical marijuana. they gave a guy frozen sealed joints manufactured in 1996, and the doc was made in 2002

I keep them in Mason jars, in the fridge ... I don't freeze, as I suspect that might make the trichomes snap off, etc ... I just ordered a cheap vacuum food-sealer, that seems to be the hot trick these days .... just don't suck them down to the point of crushing the buds ... :smokin:

One month will be fine. If you want to keep it fresh though (better taste?) just put it in the freezer.
