Has Cannabis ever caused you to hallucinate?

There has been numerous times where I thought I hallucinated, but didn't. I never just stood there looking around and saying "wow this is just amazing," and I'm not new to smoking; and have smoked various different strains in ascending potency. :smokin:

When I stand up, I get extremely lightheaded and my vision blurs. That's when I see tie dye colors; however, I never had auditory hallucinations.

You don't really hallucinate, your mind just makes you think you are because you are so freaken into it, like NteeM stated, when you stare at the tie-dye poster you start to feel funny, but you really dont, it's just playing with your mind.

I've never hullicinated, but my senses become very sensitive so I hear/see/feel things I wouldn't normally while sober. But a lot of times I get vivid images in my head or strange ideas, so I write them down as fast as I can.

Next time I score a lot of weed I'm gonna toke until I do hullucinate though!!!

The 2nd one i mentioned as i remember was almost like my experience iwth salvia, without the intenseness. I do not think people hallucinate from cannabis unless you've done other drugs such as shrooms or acid, OR your cannabis has been laced with other drugs. Otherwise I dont think it will happen.

I thought I did up until a little while ago, now I realize that it's just me entering into a kind of dreamlike state - you know how when you start daydreaming and just get kind of into whatever you're thinking about, it's like that. I do get a bit of visual distortion, but that's mostly because I'm focusing so intently on whatever I happen to be looking at. I think there is a bit of distortion in time that might affect it too. One time I was blazed and talking to my mum, and there was this dog that kept barking. Suddenly it made a sound like a rooster cackling, so I told my mum, and she didn't know what I was talking about.

Anyway, my perception was fractured... my frame of reference kept changing so I felt like I was different places and times.

- The bowl is below the waterline - therefore the weed would be wet as the bong would be draining through the bowl
- The stem he is inhaling through is also below the waterline - he is essentially drinking bong water whenever he takes a hit
- The stem is below the majority of the chamber, so the chamber wouldn't even fill when he inhales, making it pretty much a small chillum (is my terminology correct?)
- The lighter is held sideways in a way that means he would be burning his thumb every time he lights up
- He only inhales into his cheeks, not his lungs, making his bong hits completely useless
- Redeye takes effect instantaneously - personally, it takes around fifteen minutes to kick in, although I'll chalk this one up to artistic license

I'll search for that thing I saw in the corner of my eye, until I can categorize it has non-threatening. Sounds can come from anywhere, but when something is in sight is when it becomes serious.

That's not true. Weed certainly won't make you have vivid hallucinations like imagining a tiger in front of you or anything, but it's actually classified as a mild hallucinogen. It's possible to have hallucinations, and it's probably more common than you think. A hallucination doesn't have to be full blown visuals, it can just be seeing things brighter and sharper or thinking you heard things. I, for one, have had many auditory hallucinations. Once I was walking back into my house after smoking and I went to the garage and I swore I heard someone say something like, "Look! There he goes!" but when I turned around there was nobody.

When I first started smoking around the age of 18, my roommate was already a heavy smoker, and loved Blunts. So for the first couple months I smoked, it was just blunts.

Now as a new smoker it was heavy heavy HEAVY highs, and I recall going on burn cruises (I'd be in the back of course, not yet ready to handle the wheel while high - you should see me now lol) and regardless of where we were, or where we were going, if I thought about a specific road or area from my home town, everything would.. i guess tye-dye (i use that in the loosest sense possible) or rearrange itself so that I was seeing exactly what I wanted, or perhaps thought I was seeing.

Merely my own thoughts probably crossing paths with some sort of retinal nerve or synapse in my brain - your basic hallucination.

I have had somewhat hullucinatish experiences with marijauna. I remember somtimes it will cause a very strong recurring memory of some song I've heard. I remember at least several times after smoking the herb, I would have hallucinatory sound of evil techno music.

I've also had intense mind visulaizations under the influence, sometimes so strong that I feel like I'm really there, or fooled into it, esp. if it's a strong memory but that part happens when I'm sober too sometimes.

No trippy visuals or anything. But I've read that cannabis history by martin booth and it had some pretty interesting strories of people eating cannabis extract and hashish. I could go into a whole story about that, but apparently it causes intense hallucinations if you eat enough. Havn't tried it yet myself though. Not sure if I want to honestly.

I see things move in my peripherals and have auditory hallucinations, but they are usually caused by external noises. For example, if I'm in a basement or a room with a fan on I think I hear someone talking, but it's just the fan or the air conditioner or something like that. Keep telling yourself this if it helps your feel cool while you smoke. cannabis may be a hallucinogen but its a mild one. small hallucinations like distortions (like distance or time distortions) and other things are believable, but full blown visual hallucinations I'm sorry no.
Sadly lots of people like to smoke to be cool and will go as far as to convince their kook asses their hallucinating so they can feel cool.

I used to get closed eye visuals when i first started to smoke, just like shifting shapes and colors in my mind that would go along with music and stuff, but it doesn't happen very often anymore.

Last night though my friend and I were smoking in my car and we both started seeing really vivid pictures in the fog on our windows. Not only could I see like the outline of a boat or something but I could see the actual object in detail and 3D, like the sails, windows, railings, waves breaking on the bow, etc. I couldn't see many colors though, just shades of black grey and yellow (from the streetlights). It was really really trippy because I knew my mind was making it up but every time I'd stare at some blob of fog I'd see something that looked completely real. It was amazing though, we just sat there for like half an hour staring at these pictures.

Of course I have hallucinated on cannabis. It not even comparable to a "real" hallucination off of strong psychadelics such as magic mushrooms or LSD. Auditory hallucinations are very common if you're super stoned. A lot of times I've found myself hearing things that weren't happening. Doors opening at 4 in the morning, people walking around the house. It's easy to let your mind wander when you're stoned.

Visual hallucinations are very rare. I don't believe anybody has seen purple elephants flying around, but minor hallucinations are also uncommon. I can recall 3 years ago (seems like a really long time, wow). My last year in summer camp and also the year I got the boot for smoking (pretty much BS as the majority of the upper staff there smoked a lot of bud). I was in the woods with my girlfriend and a few friends. I took some hits of of the tin can and went to mars. Back then I wasn't smoking nearly as much as I am now but in camp I was smoking every night, and that was a lot for the time. I didn't have much of a tolerance. I thought I did, but now I know I definately didn't. I had just finished smoking and we were leaving the field in pairs (so it wasn't suspicious if we were seen leaving the open field). As I walked through the trails through the trees and woods of the campgrounds I saw trippy faces of weird colors, kind of like the colors you see when you close your eyes. I saw eyes in the darkness and heard movement within the trees. That was my only memorable visual hallucination. I remember thinking how lucky I was to get to experience this.

Didn't read the whole thread, sorry. I do believe 100% you can have intense hallucinations with hash oil and other foods. You simply can't get enough THC in you from one smoking session to have heavy hallucinations.

Walking around at night things that didn't exist were seen and heard but the darkness was key. These hallucinations are not something to be confused with LSD-induced visuals or anything (I've never done mushrooms or LSD). However, it's guaranteed that I'll get auditory hallucinations off of any weed I'm smoking generally.

With higher quality weed with good sativa genetics I'll often get distortions in my vision, like a light version of the size distortion that mushroom trippers get. Some things will look closer, further away, sometimes with a magnified look. I don't know if the "strobe light" effect counts as a hallucination or not.

As far as CEVs and OEVs in dark spaces, yes I do get that frequently. If I'm in a dark room I can have my eyes open and I can see colors dashing to and fro, as well as seeing patterns one time with my eyes open (the best weed I have EVER smoked). When I close my eyes the "blackness" will go 3D somehow and shapes will be forming and swaying similar to a kaleidoscope, although definitely not THAT intense.

Also, I have had moments on very potent sativa weed where I actually had to stop functioning physically because my consciousness was floating a few feet above my body and coming in and out constantly. It was an intense rush that I haven't had ever since that bud that I got a while back (the best bud I have ever smoked). It was odd because it was shooting me into some other dimension for a minute or two, in spurts. It was like a quick flash into a swirling vortex outside of my body and then I "came back." Very intense.

Hell yeah dude those are some good audio hallucinations. When I smoke outside I swear I can hear someone talking or approaching every few seconds. It's fun, even though you know it's just the weed, the "threat" never seems to go away, no matter how much you convince yourself.

Also, something I forgot to mention is that when I'm really high from the chronic, things will "expand" like a painting on a picture, things get wider, with my eyes open (OEV). I've talked with other people who smoke high-quality herb and it turns out this is the outcome of getting "too high" in their opinions.

Last night was probably the highest I've ever been. Me and my nephew were setting in the pickup listening to music (He is only like a month younger than me btw) and the battery died and we laughed our asses off and we were both still hearing music. I was having hallucinations like my house was changing shapes and designs but it wasnt morphing it was just changing instantly. I don't remember everything but I was hearing glass breaking and I don't know it was crazy shit.

So we just got done smoking out of his bong a bit ago and I only had 3 bowls and am fucking high as hell. Last night we used a dugout but his bong is badass and just arrived in the mail today :D I'm high >_<

Keep in mind you may be hellucinating without actualy knowing it.

I had 4 or 5 mushroom trips where i hellucentated and didnt even know and thats mushrooms.

Word of advice to the newb hellucenator's, Closed eye visuals can seem as faint as a photographic memory, a tip i learned was close you're eyes while intoxicated in a darkroom and just lkaydown for a few minutes and see what happends,you may not see anything that doesnt look like more than just you're mind picturing somthing BUT then the next day when sober, try and do the same thing... you wont get half as far.

I have never hallucinated, but a strong quality sativa high gives me faint yet interesting closed eye visuals when I am really in the mood or absorbed into really good music (specially classical music). Also my imagination takes off, and I "see" figures in the clouds and other objects. Like the other day I could swear that a particular cloud floating over my home looked exactly like a great white shark. It kind of reminded me when I was a small kid and spent time just staring at the sky and calling out figures in the clouds with my next door neighbor Allison.... I sometimes remember a lot of the past too, in rather clear images...

i have, first time i got high, it was some really dank shit, i was fucked up man. the grass around me got like lime green and glowed and got yellow and stuff, it was outlines by white, everything was really bright and sharp as hell and weird colors.

and i looked at my hand and it was shiny like a gold/silver/blue color mixed.

and i was half aware when i was high that there was a LOUD ass buzzing noise for like 20 minutes on and off that didnt go away, but i was so high i barley noticed it.

i am a firm believer that different people perceive it differently. I have seen a tree shink and grow(not slightly, extreme size difference [3ft to about 20ft]) and once i lit a bowl and i saw myself inside it. This was with dank though. Ever since, i have seen nothing. I want more Dank...badly.

Guys.. I ate an eighth of weed yesterday, and it was good quality. It was TOO much weed to be eaten at once, and I was stoned out of my fucking mind! I was having closed eye visuals (fractals exploding into my closed-eye vision and expanding into more and deeper fractals), and auditory halucinations (everywhere I walked, I heard slight radio static and voices like the radio static was tuning in). It was so nuts. I thought I was going insane, I would stand somewhere and just stand there for 30 minutes, wondering what I'm doing.

If you smoke real good weed or just get really baked, you will probably trip a little. SOme are more susceptible to it thank others. It looks like about 20% of people. Though its not straight shrooms or acid, yeah, you can see crazy shit or hear it. I actually closed my eyes and the fairies were whispering to me from wonderland, but I shooed them away and said I was dreaming. Then the faries said I was awake, and indeed I was. Awake, with my eyes closed, and stoned out of my fucking mind.

First time i smoked, afterwards we were riding in my friends truck, listening to "Wild Packs of Family Dogs" by Modest Mouse, and I saw the dogs running through the neighborhood, jumping over fences to the beat. Crazy shit.
Also had some closed-eye visuals, we did this thing called "Fall" where you lay on the ground with your arms straight out like superman, and another person lifts your arms up. It sounds dumb, but I was so high I felt like I was a cruise missile going in to a target. I saw crosshairs guiding me to the target and everything, and said aloud, "I'm a Bomb!"

When I was new to the ganja I was smoking with a friend and it was dark and I was lying in a bed and I saw hexagonal tiles, different colors and patterns on each tile, then I saw a tiled pattern of boots marching and then a fisherman casting a fly rod in waders, and the boots were the same as the ones that had been marching by themselves, and he was marching while casting his line. I got scared and asked her if she would drive me around a little bit while she made a trip to Whataburger and she did, and the music she played kept echoing and sometimes a line would just repeat in an unnatural way. It worried me and I did not like it at all.

I did once. It was my first time smoking the herb, and it was mid-grade. After about 10-12 big hits off of a pipe, I was so incredibly stoned that I was seeing in frame-vision. My friend's face looked warped, almost like he was somebody else. I was completely delusional. I was scared. I could not feel my body at all, and I thought my tongue was moving around in circles by itself. When I closed my eyes, I could see a vague picture of Jesus', looking at me as he slowly floated backwards into the void in my head. And now that I think about it, around Jesus were a bunch of random blotches of different colors with my eyes closed. I felt as if I was in a dream, and getting shitloads of water for my horrible cotton mouth was a noteworthy experience of mind-fucking proportion.

I could go into more detail, but it's a bit hard to explain the intensity of the frame vision. It was unlike any frame vision I've ever had after the first experience. I guess to put it shortly, and vaguely, it was like massive frame vision plus intense tunnel vision, while being surrounded in an octagon (or some other shape like it) of glass panels that moved with my vision, and each frame had its own visual distortion effect. It was actually kind of scary, and I do not think I'd want to relive that.

When I'm smoking at home I get really paranoid. I always have auditory hallucinations of the front door opening. I'm always like fuck, someone is home! Then I look and noone is there.

I once also hallicunated a two-headed dog. It was a photo of a dog, and I seriously saw two heads on it. I was like WTF? So I just stared at it for a whole minute expecting it to go back to one head. But it didn't. Every time I looked it had two heads.

Another: I was skating and following my friend. He went left, but I saw him going right. It was wierd. So I followed the hallucination I saw and went the wrong way.
