Hello Board,
I have never really been a smoker but recenty I have fallen more and more in love with marijuana. It just seems to take care of all my anxiety problems and just helps me get through the dull parts of the day and it also takes all the good parts of the day and makes them 5 times better. But I have been smoking alot and building up this annoying tolerance. I used to get blown out of my mind off of a few hits of a joint filled with schwagy stuff, but now I have to smoke so much more that I feel like a regular everyday cigarette smoker. My days now usually involve smoking about a whole blunt by myself or anywhere between 5-10 bowls of good stuff. So basically just wondering do I need to chill on my smoking if I want to keep my lungs intact?

but for now time to smoke a bowl of some silver haze, cheers. :smokin:

Can't help you out on the medical side, with the lungs.

If you want to lower your tolerance, apart from stopping smoking it, I know it comes out threw sweat. So you if you work out, alot, then it will lower your tolerance some.

I is deffinatly true, about a year or so after I started smoking ganja daily, whenever I got really hot and sweated, I would absolutely stink of pungent cannabis. It was quite nice since It was my armpits it was seeping from!

Okay hun, in all serioseness I would try to take a break. That will lower your tolerance. Im not really sure of any other way.

thanks rebgirl, guess I kind of deserved it asking a somewhat obvious and slightly stupid question. Im just in denial and was hoping there was some other way but yah ill try to take it easy for a few days and go from there.

Exactly in your situation mate; use to take a small rip from a bong and be insanely off my mind, now I smoke 4-5 bongs to get a good high, and these good high's I aspire for never are as ecstatic as when I first started.

I can tell you this though mate; if you want a more 'different' high try smoking up after a workout, or even a power set of pushups, the high is usually more intense at the start, but don't do it while you''re high, I seem to lose my buzz quicker.

It's also always good to smoke up after a long tiring day at work, arriving home feeling heaps tired, the high for me is a big body high, and usually crash at some point lol

Best of all; get high when you're nice and warm, like cheeks rosey red, usually more intense

FYI: I just got home from work, VERY tired, and cosy warm inside.... Ready to smoke, and got Aqua Teen movie in the 360 lol

hey ya sorry smoker but like reb said just lay off for a bit. go on a run or something. then come back to it slowly. dont smoke too much and trip out just take a couple hits, wait, and see how you feel

Well, as far as cancer goes, you've got nothing to worry about, THC kills cancerous cells and controls division.

Since i stopped smoking tobacco and started smoking pure weed my lungs have been getting better and better.

looked into vaporizers a bit just now and they seem to be the answer to my problem.

"Though vaporizers show great variations in performance, such studies have always found vaporization superior to smoking, and high-end vaporizers used with High Grade Hybrid Cannabis strains containing elevated levels of THC (the medicinal and psychoactive ingredient in cannabis) have been found to entirely eliminate inhalation of undesired compounds in a manner consistent enough for clinical trials. In comparison to cannabis use methods such as eating, vaporization offers the advantages of inhaling THC: rapid onset, direct delivery into the bloodstream, and the possibility to gradually increase delivery until the desired level is reached, in this manner enabling more effective self-dosage."

Vaporizer - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaporizer)

They seem to be a bit pricey though but seem to be worth the cost. Does anyone here have one or experience using one? If so how would you rate them compared to regular smoking.

I'm going to get a vape soon - my lungs are fine, but I'm getting back into running in about a month and I don't want smoking to be holding me back.

And depending on how much you smoke, your tolerance will take between a few days and a month to get back down to noob level. Personally, I'm going to stick with a bowl a day or less. I went chronic for about two weeks, and the highs definitely go downhill to the point where it doesn't feel special anymore. Besides, maintaining a low tolerance is awesome - I love being able to get high off a single bowl. Save it for after work so that you have something to look forward to.

It's been a week of abstinence now, about damn time to get high again. :bonghit:

While we're on the subject - is a vape high kind of like a kief/hash high? Because I had a decent-sized kief hit the other day and it was unbelieveably nice.
